Nothing adverse springs to mind - some people might not like the small country road for the last 1 - 2 kms of the journey, but this was more than offset by the peace and quiet of the cottages.

We wanted a quiet location but with easy access to local attractions and walks. This location allowed us to achieve what we wanted and have a good base to operate from. I almost don't want to give it a great rating as it is one of those places you want to keep secret for yourself - but that would be being selfish. It was clean, everything worked, the views were superb and the hosts did a great job. Could not fault our stay.

Not enough hot water to fill the giant bath lol.

Our second stay in these cottages and I'll say it again, the location is perfect. We went to Whitby, Runswick and Robin Hood's Bay, all a short drive away. After a long day walking around, the cottage is the perfect place to relax at night. It was lovely in the morning to sit on the garden furniture and enjoy the gorgeous view with a coffee.

We loved absolutely everything. We came for a few days to retreat from everyday life. The weather wasn't great so we just stayed in watching the free Netflix and cooked for ourselves. Everything was great. Spacious Warm Clean Great views Quiet Secluded Free Netflix Smelled great! Nice kitchen with everything you need Big bathroom with heated towel rail Absolutely fabulous break. Couldn't have asked for more.

A beautiful hidden gem of a cottage situated in a perfectly quiet spot overlooking the moors. Excellent facilities, warm, cosy with everything you need. Thank you to our hosts also for the chocolates and milk and Christmas decorations. We have loved our Christmas break and will be back.

The location and view from this property is beautiful. It's very clean and comfortable. Mark very kindly left chocolates and milk for us. On departure, we could take our time as there wasn't anyone due to arrive that day, which was very much appreciated.

Gorgeous cottage, peaceful place with lots of opportunities to explore the countryside. Cottage had everything you could possibly need, bathroom was fabulous & bed was very comfy! Spotless throughout. Mark was very friendly and we will definitely be back. Thank you for the chocolates & milk - really lovely surprise.

Cleanliness was good but the end wall in the bedroom needs a good wipe down, quite a few cobwebs especially highlighted when the bedside lights were on, also on the wall light near the wardrobe. Other than that very good. WiFi just awareness it's limited for streaming TV.

The cottage was well equipped and airey. Stable doors instead of windows, just need some way to hook back if it's breezy. The view from the lounge through the full length window is amazing. WiFi is very slow but to be expected in a rural setting, so Netflix/IPlayer nearly impossible. A 2mile walk to Staithes on narrow steep country roads expect a good workout on the return journey. The roll bath was lovely perfect for relaxing.
