How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Excellent hosts, couldn't do more to help. Very good breakfast, cooked fresh. Fresh milk provided daily if required. Very good, v clean accommodation. Parking on street and over road near church. Evening meal available, cooked with fresh ingredients and very tasty.

The Seven Stars is new to the market and is super tidy and clean. Food was super tasty. Very friendly owners. The B&B is also on the TET (if you know, you know) so perfectly placed fo those who travel those trails.

We have no complaints whatsoever.
This was a real find. The owners made us extremely welcome even helping to take our luggage upstairs. Its a very relaxed atmosphere and dinner was particularly good being able to take some time over it without being rushed. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Natasha & Colin have clearly worked really hard to restore this lovely old building to bring to the superb standard it is now. It is an ideal overnight or short stay B&B and we loved it. We hope to go back when we are next down that way.

Nothing at all. Everything was perfect and attention to detail first class.
Good choice of food for breakfast and evening meal. Beautifully cooked food and ample portions. Lovely clean, comfortable and quiet room with extra large double bed!

Everything was just fine.
Our room was lovely, everything was spotlessly clean. We loved the evening meal and the breakfast was superb. Natasha and Colin were perfect hosts.

The en-suite bathroom was quite small and my husband struggled a bit but it was newly renovated and spotless so it was fine. Lots of hot water.
Our room and en-suite was spotlessly clean, we were well received by Natasha who is welcoming and friendly. Full breakfast the next day was excellent.

There was absolutely nothing we could find wrong with the property. Colin and Natasha have worked so hard to decorate, alter and improve this property.
The property was in first class condition. The bedroom was so cosy and warm and very clean.

Location was great, pretty and quiet. Everything was lovely, the room, the service from natasha and Colin was second to none. The hotel was spotless , food was excellent. We will definitely be back on our next break .

Natasha and Colin were very friendly and accommodating. We had a welcome cup of tea on arrival. The room was very clean and warm. We ordered the evening meal which was excellent value for money. You can buy wine for the table. Breakfast was very good and set us up for our long drive ahead. We would definitely stay here again it was very quaint and quiet. We wish Natasha and Colin the best of luck.

The hot water in the shower ran out after one shower in the morning. The bedroom and restaurant were a bit cold.
Excellent quiet location just as we’d hoped. Really friendly and helpful owners, great home cooked food. Bedroom clean and well appointed. Dining room clean and well kept.

Friendly service in a beautifully restored old inn. Natasha and Colin could not have been more accomodating. Dinner is locally grown and home cooked - and breakfast was just as good.

The street parking was a bit tricky because of an event at the church opposite.

Everything was great
Natasha and Colin were very accommodating hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They were so welcoming and it really felt like we were staying with friends. We liked having a drink in the bar, and we chose to eat in on one of the nights which was excellent. There was a good choice for the breakfasts and Natasha has an excellent memory for what you like! Spotlessly clean rooms with everything you need and we particularly liked the little touches like fresh milk each day in a flask. Beautiful location with good walks from the door. Most definitely recommended.

Old pub in nice central village location by old church and church house, quiet except for some evening church bells! Friendly caring reception for bed/breakfast, good menus for dinner and breakfast with some drinks available.
