Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was nothing we disliked about the site. You do need to plan to have the shopping you need for the day/night or be prepared to travel a few miles to restaurants and pubs, which was not an issue for us. We loved the Garden Arms in Gardentown, not far away, a great local pub with good food and a fun backstory with Bram Stoker staying there. There's nothing to dislike about this place, the amount of vision, energy and work that has gone into providing a very eco-friendly site is obvious and very much appreciated.
Shepherd's Loch Glamping is such a unique space to spend time unwinding and relaxing. All of the cabins are well built and very interesting, with solar power, gas stoves and well-appointed bathrooms and bedrooms. The staff are very accommodating and helpful and the room was very clean and well appointed. We did a little fishing at one of the ponds, visited the little shop for supplies on site and borrowed a book from the community center. A pair of pheasants were living around our cabin, and put on a show each morning for us. Thanks for a great stay!

United KingdomThere's wasn't a single thing. Even though your on a farm it doesn't feel like that. Am telling all my friends about this. Brilliant
The whole place was great. We are looking at trying another lodge. We was in wheel house and it was comfortable. But the seating area was limited. I think in kitchen area at the window you should have a wee seating area there. Apart from that 10 stars. Such a beautiful part of our city so glad we found this wee gem.

United KingdomNothing.
It was just as described with all the necessary amenities which were obviously consciously and considerately thought out. The space was perfectly cosy for us (a couple) and we really enjoyed how quick it was to make warm (and keep warm) with the fireplace! The bed was really comfy which was a nice bonus - we had a good night’s sleep on both nights! No internet which meant we could go off-grid which was what we had hoped for:) The shop was lovely with a lot of necessities and extra bits and bobs including a table full of complimentary things (we grabbed the opportunity and took some eggs for our breakfast the following morning, they were delicious!). Thank you to our lovely hosts, Jamie & co, for letting us visit their farm at the top of the hill and visit the lambing site - they even let us hold a lamb, a first time experience for the both of us. The perfect way to spend our weekend getaway to the countryside. We hope to be back soon!

United KingdomA site map could be a good addition in the welcome book, the logs provided were slightly too big for the burner in the wheelhouse. When i called and texted about the sauna, on the number provided, there was no reply.
Amazing facilities and great atmosphere around the place. Lovely views and so many activities on site to keep you busy/enjoy the view. Each place was unique and had something quirky and special about it!

United KingdomThe plug in fridge was small and quite noisy
Fabulous location and where we stayed was overlooking the water. Very nice place and a complete switch off from everyday life, very quiet, clean and what I expected for glamping accommodation. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only thing I would of liked to have is a comfy couch to sit Infront of the log burner. We had a lovely time thank you

AustraliaThe only fault was the bed in our hut was very creaky, any small movement was very noisy and the mattress very thin
Such a quaint little space in the countryside. Loved the character of all the different homes/huts. The area was beautiful with ponds dotted around and waterfall, water wheel etc and all the options of things to do were great and well thought out (kayaks, bikes, shop, zip line, sauna, swing). Loved the vibe and feel of the place in general. Fire wood and matches provided and everything to cook with. The small fire place kept the hut very warm. Everything was thought of.

AustraliaNothing, loved it just as it is!
We drove from Inverness, arrived later than we had planned, son & friend did a recce in the daylight, at the check in time then returned to visit with friends, then son & myself came back at 11.30pm. All the wonder of the location revealed in the daylight, so quirky and interesting, absolutely loved the place. Saw our "host" as we left in the am, delightful, highly recommended to friends. Glad we stepped out of hotel mode for our stay with you!

United KingdomOnly negative i can think off is it will get cold when the temp drops later on in the year. There was a lovely wood burner in the Yurt but didnt heat the whole place especially the bathroom.
First of all the Owner, Jamie was an amazing host, could not ask for better. The whole set-up was amazing. I love the outdoors and cooking outside on the fire was right up my street, although there was some cooking facilities inside. I mean, generating power from a water wheel???? where do you see that these days. Being able to help yourself to freshly grown vegetables on site as well, really, unheard of. I will definitely take my two boys there next summer to experience it.
