Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only 'issue' was that the hotel's wifi was very weak (weak signal in the room at least) and disconnected frequently. Signal was also weak for our own mobile networks, which made using the internet difficult. Also, there was no power socket near the bed. Otherwise, we are very happy with our stay.
The reception staff were very helpful. Upon arrival they helped us book an additional night in the same room, as we were there for some medical appointments. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean. As we stayed for two days, we really appreciated that there was a microwave, small fridge, some plates, glasses and cutlery. There was also a kettle and complimentary tea bags, coffee and biscuits. The room has a big window, which makes it bright. Some stains in the walls but nothing that bothered us. The room we stayed seems slightly smaller than the one in the picture, but it was still very spacious. The area was quiet and felt very safe as well, as we went for a walk late at night.

AustraliaNo power point on the wall where the beds are. The only power point that is near the bed is outside the bathroom. It made stripping over a moderate risk when my husband had his CPAP plugged in for the night with an extension cord crossing in front of the bathroom and wardrobe.
Location is great. Openable window was important to me.

SpainThe price doesnt match with what you get. The room was dirty, under the bed and under the radiator was full of dust and food crumbs. The room wasnt cleaned properly every day, only the bed was made and thats it. they didnt change towels regularly and neither cleaned the dust. You could see the dust. There were holes in the wall that weren’t fixed. The staff wasnt nice at all.

United KingdomIf I had to put a negative I would say there can be a lot if stairs. But in this type of property its what uou would expect so not really a negative.
The room was so clean. It looked just like the photos it was slightly worn on the headboards but was minor. The lady in reception was really helpful and could not have been more welcoming. There is no lift so there is stairs. The room was so clean it was sparkling. I stay in a lot of accommodation in London and usually a room in this price range never looks like the pictures so this was fabulous. It even had a fridge. Unfortunately we did not discover this till the morning as it was inside the wardrobe area, but that along with iron and ironing board and hairdryer are major pluses in my book. The beds we had twins was so thick and comfortable. The bedding was to a high standard felt very high quality. Don't be afraid to book this hotel as it was fabulous for the price we paid. Also the reception and stairs etc were clean and well kept.

United KingdomThe room wasn’t the cleanest. I think someone used it just before us as it smelt of food and had greasy stains on the table but nothing horrible. Bathroom was clean.
We were quite wary to book looking at reviews but it wasn’t bad at all, especially for the price we paid, I believe there was a deal at £53. The bed was comfortable, shower is okay. Great location.

United KingdomYou couldn’t close the curtains in the bedroom , only way to close them was attaching a safety pin to them , which wasn’t safe and did cause myself to nip my finger a few times . Massive holes in the walls where the curtain poles used to be. Did cause light to shine through all night and struggled to sleep at first due to this. The room in number 7 does need a little TLC and pain touches . The tele signal was the best and only could use the main channels , bbc 1 ect
Plenty of tea and coffee left in the room to use , also biscuits . Two new bottles of water left out for use . Little fridge to use also , so wine could be chilled that we brought along to drink. Bathroom was okay , clean and shower easy to use . Stayed at the property due to attending an event at Olympia . Hotel is only round the corner so location was fab.

NigeriaThe room bedsheets were not changed at all through out my stay, only the trash was taken out daily. I had to ask them to clean the room and they responded that the floors are not swept all the time. The facilities also need to be upgraded; for instance, the head board was peeling off and the material was all over the bed at all times. I had to constantly dust the mattress to keep it neat.
The Staff at the front desk was very polite, pleasant and helpful. He made sure I was comfortable from the first day. The rooms were small but considering I was travelling alone and only used it to sleep at night, it served its purpose.

United KingdomThe room was separated from the next-door residence by a 3 foot (0.9m) gap and aligned with windows of that property. To provide privacy for both properties, a frosted glass panel was in place between the residences, but the close proximity of the two buildings meant that no natural light reches the room, and so lights were necessary even during the day. It appears the hotel has made the best effort they could to overcome the issue, but short of buying the next-door property and demolishing it there is no obvious solution. Although the desk area was decently-sized there was a distinct shortage of available power points in the room (disregarding those in use for the kettle, fridge and microwave). One of the power points was located next to the desk which was good, but the other was on the wall near the door, and not close to anywhere where such a socket could be considered useful due to the need for trailing wires across the room. There were no USB ports in the room. The fridge was very small; so much so that standard 1L milk bottles had to lay sideways as they were too tall to stand up. The fridge also was missing one of its "feet" causing it to rock whenever opened (not ideal if round bottles are stored as they tend to roll out). Of the issues, the lack of daylight is the most significant. If you were staying 1-2 nights and you would be out most of the day it may not be too problemmatic, but longer stays could be less enjoyable.
A clean, sufficiently-sized, but not over-generous room with a very comfortable double bed, ample enclosed wardrobe space with a safe, two comfortable chairs and a desk/dining table. The room came with a "kitchenette" with a quiet, efficient enclosed fridge, a sink (with washing up supplies), a microwave and tea/coffee making facilities with some very pleasant complimentary biscuits (although, as seems standard at this price-point there was no decaffeinated coffee, but as I always carry my own, this was not a major issue). The bathroom was sufficiently sized and had a good shower and sink, but oddly the bathroom mirror was on the opposite wall to the sink making shaving slightly more complex. All plumbing worked well. The TV in the room also worked worked well and all channels appeared to work (not always the case in other hotels I have stayed in). Weirdly, the desk had two UTB Cat6 cables, but these did not appear to be connected to anything, and as they had no retaining latch, they were unusable; the WiFi in the room was very good however, so again this was not an issue. The room was on the ground floor, had opening windows and was both very quiet and very secure (more on this below). The hotel is situated on a quiet residential street about half-way between West Kensington and Olympia tube stations.

NetherlandsI am happy that other reviews did not change my decision to book this hotel. A location is good! 5 min to 3 different metro stations, you do not need to change metro line to get to a touristic centre. A district is very quite and safe, no busy road in a front. A hotel room is small but it is ok for just to spend a night, you are outside for whole day anyway. A bed was very comfortable, bed sheets are white and clean, same with towels. A bathroom was clean as well. It was very warm in the room, we liked it so much!! And every day you get such a nice compliment from reception as still water, tea, coffee and muesli cookie what's enough for early breakfast. There is a good wifi connection in the hotel. If you need just a warm place to sleep after long busy day in London, you have to book it for sure. P.S.: We had to wake up very early our first morning in London and were in hurry , so just left a chaos of our clothes etc. We did not expect that room service will come already to clean. So we are sorry for that. It is just for information that they take a good care of guests.
