Lovely stay.. perfect little place to relax

Nothing really, I was really impressed and happy with the place and the communications from Tom to make sure we could arrive without any issues.

Place was decorated lovely, mugs, tea and coffee (even hot chocolate) were provided and the mugs were a great size! Wood for log burner and hot tub provided with clear instructions. It was clean, cosy, and just a lovely experience!!!

The utensils for the bbq were left very dirty, and the bed was a little hard.

I liked how quiet and private it was. Very relaxing and romantic. The hot tub was beautiful once we’d figured out there was a hose to cool it down; as we had warmed up a little too much!

The hut was fully equipped with a comfortable bed, cozy blankets, and even a pod log. Highly recommend this glamping experience to anyone looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with nature in a cozy comfortable setting.

We stayed in the Boathouse with the hot tub last week. We are avid glampers and this is by far, our favourite start so far! The host was in touch with us throughout the day, making sure we knew how to get to the place. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the place. Beautiful setting and the pod was stunning. We loved the stove, it heated up really fast, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Having read previous reviews, we took the advice to play with the games that were supplied which was very refreshing rather than having a TV, and we turned on the radio for background noise. The hot tub was amazing. We loved the privacy of the fencing around it. There were very clear instructions on how to heat up both the fire and the hot tub. It heated up pretty fast and was very hot when we went to get in but there was a hose right beside it to cool it down. I would recommend bringing your own robe for getting in and out of the tub and maybe some bigger towels. We had read that there was a shop at the top of the road where we could buy wood but we hadn't spotted the huge container on wood and kindling that had already been supplied. We had a private eco toilet which was big and had a shower.. The eco toilet is absolutely fine, we've used them before and are just slightly different to a normal one. We also went to the communal toilets which are very funky. There was water and breakfast cereal provided and there was a microwave available to heat up food in a communal area. There was also a little fridge in the pod. We would have loved to used the private bbq area however the weather just wasn't on our side. We will definitely be back if we are in York again.

I would say, it gets extremely cold throughout the night.. I had to wake my partner to make a fire as I kept getting woke from the cold and couldn’t settle. Would definitely benefit from a winter duvet and some added blankets or maybe even a heated blanket.

Amazing location, so quiet and peaceful. Cabin was very cute and ideal for a romantic getaway. Hot tub was a lovely touch, very warm and clean. Watching the animals in the morning was delightful.

Couldn't fault anything......even the weather 😂

We stayed in "The Boathouse" the wood fired hot tub was fantastic...we had a previous bad experience with one in the past but it was fantastic. It was warm for our arrival and we obliged by jumping straight in!! We went for some food at a pub nearby and added some more logs to keep the fire going, when we got back the water was piping hot. The whole glamping experience was fantastic and we will definitely be back. Such a cosy little hut with everything we needed. Excellent communication with detailed directions from Tom. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves glamping or anyone wanting to try it.

The shower and composting toilet are in a seperate shed next to the pod, however the shower had a sign on to say it was disconnected. There were other options to use facilities in the grounds however it would have been better to know in advance if the shower wasnt available.

Lovely wood fired hot tub with the deluxe glamping pod. Comfy bed and nice internal log burner. Kettle, toaster and mini fridge are provided with teas and coffees.

This was our first time glamping (myself and my husband), I wanted to do something we’d not done before for his 50th. We enjoyed every minute of it. The site was lovely, we had the deluxe pod which was brilliant. The pod was clean and welcoming. Due to the cold weather we didn’t sit outside next to the fire pit. There was plenty of fire wood and refreshments for us to use also. The hot tub was already hot when we arrived which was an added bonus. It was well sign posted with my name and Tom was brilliant with messaging with all the details for our stay. We also had a cat to keep us company, which wouldn’t leave my husband alone. (No complaints from him). We will definitely be back with our young daughters in the warmer weather.

To be honest there wasn't anything that either myself or my partner didn't like.

Absolutely in love with the place, what a treat this weekend away was with Skipbridge. The pod was gorgeous and especially nice as they decorated it for my partner's birthday too! We were blessed in the middle of December with Sunshine so were able to make the most of the hot tub too. Amazing scenery and the utter enjoyment of tranquillity, we will be back!

The shower block is a bit of a distance so we didn’t use it, we might have if it was closer. Not really an issue though, would definitely stay again it was incredible

Nothing whatsoever; apart from having to leave!!!

Everything was perfect, the bed was very comfortable, bbq available and the views were feb. The hot tub was an absolute bonus and we took full advantage and spent hours in there! We debated whether to go out but decided we didn’t want to leave! Wish we had stayed longer! We will 100% be returning! We didn’t see any one face to face who worked there, but did have communication before and after which was fast and efficient.

The pod was lovely and we had some balloons and a banner put up since when I booked It i mentioned it was our wedding anniversary. Deco was very cute and bed was comftable also. Loved the fact we had a mini fridge and some coffee and breakfast items

How short my stay was… one night not enough! I wanted to stay!

This is a quirky property with literally everything you need within, you have an enclosed area perfect for not having to worry about my little trouble maker (dog not girlfriend) Meant we could properly unwind! Very late booking but the staff were accommodating, relaxed and as if nothing was an issue!
