Beds are uncomfortable I brought my own bedding to give the mattress a boost. Sliding shower door opens directly into the hall so not much privacy. There are gaps in the sliding doors too which is uncomfortable.

Beautiful location, free parking, good WiFi. Stayed in a female only dorm and it was clean and spacious with a fantastic view. Shower was hot.

Breakfast

This place reminded me of students dormitory. The atmosphere there is very friendly. The room was very clean and had sink which you could use in the morning to avoid queues. The showers were also okay with access to the hot water. There were only 4 girls in the room including me and we had lovely chats for hours! So that’s a perfect place to make new friends. The only problem there is a poor breakfast. You can pay 3.50£ and have a small bun, cereals, juice and fruits which look not very good. But there is a kitchen so if you want to have a proper breakfast, better bring your own products and cook for yourself as there is a lack of restaurants or cafes in that area. In general everything was fine and stuff on the reception was very polite.

If you want to go around Skye this stay is convenient. Of course it is backpackers stay so you need to manage your expectations. We had fun and like it

The common areas were small and always full, and the showers were cramped. Overall everything was small, but acceptable for backpacker’s category.

Nothing ... we were very pleased - comfortable, quite night's stay.

As a couple over 70, travelling through Scotland, we have occasionally booked hostels when other hotel prices seemed out of reach. This hostel The manager and staff of the hostel went beyond expectations - when our twin room was taken, they kept others out of the 5 bed dorm they put us in, letting us both have a bottom bunk, without a word to us until after it was done. The bathroom was clean but is quite small as it the shower for the upstairs rooms. The kitchen area was very nice - and although many people in and out, we found adequate place to sit and enjoy our breakfast. Very good value for money in an expensive place like Skye. They also honoured our extra payment for a night we couldn't use by giving us our stay for free, even though it was beyond cancellation. There are plenty of skylights in the rooms and bathroom making everything light.

The kitchen and dining space was quite small and busy. There wasn't much space for a family to sit together and eat. The decor and general feel of the place was tired. It didn't seem as clean as other places we've stayed because of this. Due to these points I don't think it was that great value for money. I can appreciate it is a backpackers hostel so not necessarily the best place for a family.

The location was easy to get to, just off the bridge. The staff were friendly. The family room with 4 beds was cosy and comfortable in the attic space.

The location was far away from shops, closest was 50mins walk and a pain when it's rainy and windy. Most of the sights are 30min to 2hr bus trips, need car for a lot of places. They do a tour though on some Saturday's but it's a bit pricey. (54pounds) Top bunks in my room had no rail so no real protection from falling except for your spider sense. One of the lights was very long and you'd keep hiting your head on it and it had no globe in it.

The location had a lovely view and near the river. Breathtaking views from the hostel. Lovely places to explore like the nearby ruins and river walk. Staff and volunteers were kind and friendly and gave great advice and welcoming. Lovely pub nearby sometimes with live scottish music. Kitchen has good appliances. Really nice hostel vibes here, meet a lot of solo travellers and has a cosy vibe with the fireplace and boardgames.

My credit card has been charged double for one nights accomodation . Will now have to contact them and see what happens about a refund .

Location was good close to pub for dinner . Room was clean with a good view . Did not use kitchen but it looked o.k .

Facilities a wee dated; mostly due to wear and tear, but still serviceable. Common spaces are tight.

Check in and out was smooth and pleasant. People are friendly. Just steps away from restaurants.
