    Nothing everything was exceptional!

The property was well positioned for exploring Skye. We had looked at a number of places before settling on the Shepherds Hut and this was by far the best. Rach the host was friendly and amazing nothing too much for her.

    Nothing 🙂

A lovely small home with everything you could ask for (small kitchen with stovetop, one fridge plus another in the shed attached to the cabin). Very comfortable bed, quiet at night, right beside a bunch of friendly sheep 🙂 great position to explore Skye

Not a lot! It would have been great if there was a cafetière in the cupboard for making fresh coffee.

Great location and price, easy to get everywhere and close to a big coop! Amazing views, comfy bed, and great to have the bathroom inside too.

    We loved everything!

We spent 3 nights at the end of May here and had a fantastic stay. Shepherds Hut is set in a beautiful location, looking over the rolling green hills and you can also walk to the sea. Rachel was a fantastic host with really fast communication and picking up the keys was straight forward. The hut was immaculately clean and the hosts had kindly left out bread, butter, jam and eggs. There is a big co-op only a 10 minute drive away so we cooked each night, as there is a fridge, 2 hobs and plenty of kitchen utensils. The nights are very short here in summer but fortunately there Hut has proper curtains all around so the light never affected our sleep.

Lovely place to stay in Skye. Shepards hut was a good size and comfortable for the two of us. Beautifully thought out space with great amenities. We cooked dinner in the cabin two nights. Able to sit outside of an afternoon and enjoy the farm views. Hosts were lovely to have a chat to. Parking is close to the hut. Short drive into Portree and able to drive easily to other parts of the isle.

Attention to detail was first class. The property was immaculate and lots of little unexpected extras such as tea, coffee, milk, eggs and muffins and wood for the stove. The owner couldn't do enough to ensure I had a beautiful stay and will definitely return.

An authentic experience being in a shepherds hut on a sheep farm!

    • Stayed 7 nights

I didn’t realise it would be on a working sheep farm. We had a bit of a shock when we arrived and they were in the midst of shearing sheep and the sheep being separated from the flock in field and barn made them all rather noisy for part of the day. Luckily this was only momentary.

Very easy. Rachael knew when to expect us so left the shepherds door unlocked and keys on the counter.

The space was super cozy! We really enjoyed coming back from a hike or an explore to the tiny warm hut that kept the elements out. The owners were lovely and made us feel very welcome. All of this really elevated our holiday making it one we will remember for many years

Nothing to do with the hut or the place.... Roads are really bad, we've changed the tires before we went , we came back home with a puncture :-D

The breakfast was brilliant as I have made it :-D the accommodation is self catering. Having said that, Rachel has left for us some Eggs, bread , milk , butter :-) . I couldn't fault it. Such a private, comfy, snuggly little hut. with the cutest little fire place<3 . Rachel is such a lovely lady she meet us on our departure <3 Will come back again in the future hopefully <3 .
