Clean, very comfortable mattress and pillows on bed. Good bathroom and Kitchen facilities. Lovely secluded garden, very relaxing listening to the birds in the evening. Plenty of parking off road. Well placed to visit all local attractions. Good for single travellers, private and secure. Hosts friendly and helpful.

we stayed in The Royal Room which was lovely. exactly like the pictures and very clean with a bathroom with a separate shower and bath. There is a lovely garden area with a table and chairs for you to spend some downtime e after a busy day out. we lived the breakfast In your room and preordered breakfast choice. very relaxing. the hosts are very friendly and lively to chat with.

Loved it all!

The Snuggery, the self catering appartment at Slate Hall, was quiet and cozy, yet contained everything we could possibly want. Climbing up to the comfortable bed after a busy day exploring locally was a delight. Snuggling round the log burner would have been lovely, but the weather was warm on our visit and we chose to sit in the private garden in the early evening sunshine. A short distance from the bustle of the village, the Snuggery is stll only a 10 minute walk from all restaurants, shops and harbourside of Seahouses .

The owners are lovely! The breakfasts are generous, homey and delicious. Slate Hall is nearby the most beautiful beaches in the country.

There was nothing not to like.

Helpfulness of the owners. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms well appointed and very clean. Tasty breakfast with a good choice. Close to the centre of Seahouses with good pubs and restaurants about half a mile walk away.

The self contained aspect of the room, garden facility if required. Fridge in room, breakfast served in the room. Gluten free catered for. Hosts very welcoming, look forward to revisiting Slate Hall.

It is a characterful building in a good location and a nice sheltered garden which enjoys the evening sun.

Really comfortable, well equipped room. Everything was very clean. The hosts provide an excellent breakfast. The hosts, Mark and Monique made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. Mark gave us good information about the locale and places worth visiting. They are really good hosts and we are very grateful to them for enhancing our stay.

I honestly cannot imagine how anything could have been better!

The room was even bigger than we expected, and felt more like a hotel suite than a bedroom. It was beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable, with lots of extra touches e.g. some warm blankets to wrap up in when coming in from a chilly evening. The owners went to a huge amount of trouble to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything that we could possibly need. There was a lovely modern bathroom a great shower, and having breakfast brought to our room made us feel really pampered.

Bathroom shower head was very “gummed up” and I had to clean it before use. Otherwise the place was very clean. Breakfast in the room was nice but probably continental option would have been easier, left less of a smell in the room.

Fresh decor, clean. Quirky with the bed above the seating area. Small log burner was very nice on the chiilly evenings. Good kitchen facilities. Has a microwave which wasnt on the facilities list. Our host, Gary, was very helpful..

Minor niggle is that drivers of larger cars may find parking at the back of the B&B difficult or too nervous to attempt, as the side entrance gets a little narrow, but to be honest there is plenty of on-street parking available, which is what we preferred anyway.

Excellent breakfast of choice brought to your room at your chosen time. Lovely decorated Palm Room had plenty of space to put your travel clothing, and also contained a 2 seater table for eating breakfast or dinner. Mark & Monique were the perfect hosts, there for a friendly chat or local advice. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
