How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is close to a Highfield caravan park and retail parks. Plenty of parking.

Room was great, the bed was comfy I did have a good night's sleep through out my stay. All staff were friendly and helpful. Food in the pub was good.

Nothing really - close enough to the town to be away from it all.
Fantastic pub - although the location is getting a bit built up, situated in a new development and retail park, just on the outside of the retail park, where there are a few big name supermarkets, well known DIY store, coffee shop, pizza, chicken, burgers and subs for those who don't want to eat at the pub - the pub food menu is varied and offers lots for dinner and breakfast options - breakfast was cooked fresh or had the option of continental or cereals. The rooms/hotel section is set away from the pub in it's own block, the rooms were clean and tidy, bed comfy, with tea and coffee available to be made in the room - the room is basic but functional, a chair, TV and table/desk to do work on if needed - with air-con and heating - all in all, we had a great stay and will be back soon

Only on this occasion. when we unloaded the car, I had to pack the car up again as there was no receptionist. so I had to go to the pub. receptionist. I will check next time. but I was slightly annoyed after driving 3 hrs 🙄 it was only on this occasion. And slightly dirty in the bathroom. but I will come again. x
Close to all the amenities and my family. Good price. plenty of parking.

It was slightly awkward that we had to go across to the separate restaurant to check in or reach staff.
The stay was comfortable, the room was clean, the breakfast was good, the staff were friendly. Overall it was reasonable value for money and the location was perfect for our needs.

The whole place was a little too hot for me.could do with turning the temperature down a bit.
I liked the room it was plenty big enough.bed was comfy.the price was very good to. Lots of parking available too.

The room was very clean. The whole building has been redecorated. All painted nicely with new carpets and new furniture and fittings. It looks lovely. All clean and fresh. Amazing. Will definitely stay there again.

well it was easter when we stayed and the pub had a easter bunny event going on so it was very noisy,the cooked breakfast was ok but the continental breakfast could have had a better selection
the location was very easy to find ,and the hotel had recentley been refurbished the room was adequatly furnished and serviced , the breakfast was not to good very noisy

Kept sending the eggs back ?
Luv'ly ! A trip down memory lane for me as I was here as a child with my parents on holidays in the 60/70's. Should have just kept it a memory (?) Our hotel was lovely however, staff were fantastic ! Most of the food in the restaurant was great all though the chef didn't know how to do an egg sunny side up ? And be warned the breakfast are a bit of a disaster....Go to the Mcdonald directly opposite for a McMuffin, a lot cheaper & more tasty 😋

Restaurant was just a very short walk away And didn’t take long to get into the town centre by car. Friendly staff and rooms were very comfortable with had tea and coffee facilities.

The hotel is under refurb which we were not warned about. The entire place reeked of paint. Reception was over the carpark in the pub, luckily it wasn't busy when we arrived on Thursday but I imagine anyone arriving on Saturday would have had a wait to get their room key. Its only temporary though as reception will be back in the hotel once the refurb is completed.
Location was great as we were only 5 minutes away from my son who we had gone to visit. There's an M & S, McDonalds and Tesco all within walking distance although crossing the road on a roundabout isn't the easiest, probably better to take the car.
