The only negative aspect was that I could smell cigarette smoke in the stairwell leading to my room. However, the smell did not reach into my room. So, this was only a minor issue.

The breakfast was outstanding. The staff were friendly, available and helpful. The room was of a good standard and more than met my needs. The free car park was very helpful and the location of the hotel was ideal for my needs.

It was further away from Central Cambridge than I’d realised. Taxis were 7-8 pounds but there was a bus stop close by.

We had a quiet ground floor room with a bath. The staff were very helpful and there was a good Italian restaurant on site.

Had an early morning appointment at addenbrooks hospital so this hotel was close enough to not worry about getting stuck in traffic. Room and breakfast were good.

I had a problem with the safe in my room . But when I mentioned this at reception , I was given a key to the safe so the problem was solved without any hassle . The two small things that I didn't appreciate were as follows ; the shower curtain was too short . Meaning that water splashed onto the floor . The bath towel was too small for my liking . Not exactly deal breakers , but a couple of things that could be better .

There was a buffet breakfast with a decent choice . It was served in the restaurant between 7.30 and 9.30 . There is an Italian themed menu for other meals . I dined there one evening , where I had a good pizza and very good ice cream . The hotel was in walking distance from the rail station , which was important for me . There is a pub across the road , and there are a variety of fast food shops close by .

Breakfast as good as you get - lots of choice, smiling service, delicious fresh fruit, creamy yogurt for me and hot food perfect and plentiful for my husband. Location easy to find, 2km from centre if you wanted to walk, spacious well lit free car park. Lovely dining room/restaurant with top class pizzas. Helpful friendly staff. Comfy large bed.

It was a bit noisy as the room was near to the toilets of the restaurant. The shower barely worked.

I had a great room (127) with a jacuzzi bath and a sauna. The gentleman on reception was really friendly. The breakfast was good.

Complete refurbishment from my last stay in 2022. But old brown wardrobes and dresser spoil the impression and room very dark with curtains fixed half drawn…bathroom cramped but well done out.

Didn't like it that we were downstairs next to the main door, so couldn't have the window open....got very warm in there, maybe should supply a fan in the room. Shower temperature wasn't good when we used it, but that could be due to other guests using theirs at the same time. Also it's not a four poster bed as shown in pictures.

Loved the Jacuzzi and Spa, breakfast was also very nice.

The cleaning staff were quite loud and noisy. I was trying to sleep post night shift but woke up due to the disturbance. They are probably not used to customers being around during the daytime.

Well sized room with all amenities including a fridge in the room. Very well located if working at Addenbrookes with parking facilities. The proprietor of the hotel is very attentive to your needs and very kind. First hotel where I felt pampered when it came to breakfast.
