If I had to write a negative, the only thing that comes to mind is that there were several builders nails on the designated parking space. This is obviously not great if they were to have embedded themselves into our tyres. Fortunately, my husband spotted them before this happened. I realise this is only a minor problem but it could have been a very costly ending to what was an extremely good stay.

As the house was rented out for 5 adults, we thought that an extra lounge chair would have been good for sitting around comfortably. We had to bring a chair down from one of the bedrooms. We also brought down some side tables and lamps from the bedrooms for the lounge. The fire was not working and the downstairs was very chilly our first evening but the hosts brought an electric fire around straightaway. It was a shame about the fire, which looked like it hasn't been working for a while.

For us - it was the ability to split the double beds into single beds but one room did lack a little space but we were there only for a weekend so it did not really matter.

Some of the beds in the property had very firm mattresses, making them kind of uncomfortable (in our personal opinions). This wouldn't be enough to put us off returning however, as everything else was fantastic.

Location was amazing, the property was extremely warm, cosy and convenient. It had everything we could have possibly needed, and the hosts were super accommodating and easy to contact. South House was very clean and beautifully presented. Perfect for 6 adults exploring the Winchester Christmas Markets!

Great location , spacious & well equipped. Felt very homely. Was great that you didn’t have to worry about driving , easy walking distance into town etc. Hosts also supply a parking permit for side streets.

The car parking space was very tight. So unfortunately we couldn't make use of this.

The property was in a perfect location. The hosts were amazing, popped by the first evening to check all was OK. Had an issue with the underfloor heating not working in one of the bedrooms. They came over and sorted whilst we were out. The house had everything we needed and was great for our girlie weekend.

Not a huge deal at all however my father-in-law is elderly and has a dodgy hip, and the stairs didn't have carpet so he was concerned about slipping. I thought I'd mention it should anyone else be in this situation, but this is the only slight negative I could say about the property.

In the shower and bath it would be handy to have a grab rail or two. The house is set back from a busy road so there is noise from the road if you open a window but there are air con units . You are not on the road itself as it is a turning off.

The house is very convenient and comfortable. Five minute walk from the station plus parking for two cars. Small area to sit on the terrace. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living area. Would go again .Hosts very helpful.

The off-road parking space was largely unusable as it was very tight and impossible to park alongside the other car. However, the permit provided for street parking was very useful and we were able to park on the street a few minutes walk away from the apartment. The TVs only seemed to provide 2 channels and the signal broke up frequently - couldn't find any instructions about the televisions.

Location was great - very short walk to centre of town. Good facilities - kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and appliances. Good, clear instructions left for everything. Hosts popped round on first evening to say hello.

Spotlessly clean. All facilities you could need for a short break and longer. Excellent instructions pre visit and for the house when we arrived. Steve even called round to make sure everything was ok for us which was very impressive.

Parking was tricky at times but you do have the option of using the carpark next to the property as you have access to a parking permit which for larger cars i would recommend . (It's certainly a very good idea )
