Cosy and quiet. Beautiful countryside. Compact (naturally being a hut) but well equipped and very comfortable.

Heating was hard to find - and needed as all windows were left open when we arrived., And when we did find it, it was almost an 80/20 split between bathroom/main room. But that said, perfectly servicable and we remained warm :)

Cost was very competitive for location: Location was fantastic with use of a car. Central to Bristol, Bath, Cheddar, Wooky Hole. Facilities were as described in the listing, overall comfortable stay.

To be really picky, 2/3 of the interior lights didn't work, not a real problem as it was plenty bright enough. Heater control was slightly glitchy, would need looking into but rotating the heater knob didn't move the indicator as expected.

Remote location, gorgeous surroundings. Small accommodation but featured everything you would need for a night or two and more. Selection of teabags and confectionery presented on arrival. Good heating, very warm despite the cold weather. Comfortable bedding.

Really cute little hut, perfect for a solo traveller or a couple. Bed was really comfy, quite high off the ground though! Unfortunately the skylight was covered (presumably with insulation over winter) but saw plenty of stars outside and woken by birds in the morning. Instructions left on how to use the heating etc. Beautiful location and very out of the way (easy to find using sat nav and the host sent instructions on where to look for along with code to get the key from safe). Kitchen area had everything we needed, no oven but basically everything else. Bathroom was nice and everything in the hut was clean. Parking right outside. Restaurants / supermarkets a 10 minute drive away. I wasn’t able to connect to the wifi for some reason but not a big deal for one night as o could use 4G on my phone. Super relaxing stay, would recommend and would stay again. Travel light as there really isn’t much room for luggage, as you would expect! We loved our stay here - thank you!

Our 2nd stay at this lovely private Shepherd hut. We were in the area and decided to book last minute. Very quiet, away from busy places with nice opportunities to walk on country lanes. Comfy bed, nice shower and heating with good utilities.
