Not a lot - just need to remember my backpacking days and suck up the noise and lack of space that hostels excel in.

Good location so close to London Bridge and Borough Market. Friendly helpful staff and excellent breakfast (extra cost but by far the cheapest breakfast in town for what was on offer!) Also close to a lot of convenience shops and restaurants, bars and cafes in pretty much any direction. Lifts welcome but there are always stairs so pack light. And there is a good, very cheap locker storage available for up to 24hrs.

People tend to be disrespectful of time and others they are sharing the space with. But it is a random circumstance.

The best thing is the location.

Garbage can lid did not open with the foot pedal. ( it was broken) Shower curtain in the shower stall would prevent some things from getting wet in the changing caddy area.

I was a little upset that I didn't see the sign about breakfast at 5 pounds at booking, and the next day it was 6 pounds to eat.

Worth staying for location and breakfast

Cold water in washbasin. Shower is fine though. No lockers for the boxes allocated for the bed, it is good to have one of your own. Also, there was a confusion at the reception at night that they assigned a bed to a male in the female-only area, sorted it out later. Then some groups of senior school students (boys and girls) were set in this area and it became really crowdy around and too loud in the late evenings.

Great location, close to the Borough Market, London Bridge railway and underground stations, and supermarkets (Sainsbery, Tesco). Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast which made my stay way better!

Very little space to be quiet

The female only section of the hostel was worth booking as it gave a feeling of safety. It was also very clean compared to other areas

Overall, it was good, but be aware that the description is misleading and towel hire was pricey.
    • Leisure trip

Towel hire was £5, with £2 given back when you return the towel (so it cost £3). Bathrooms had either 2 toilets and 1 shower, or 1 toilet and 2 showers shared between 2-3 rooms with 16 beds each. It wasn't a problem while I was there though, and it seemed to be full.

First: from the description online saying that "Each room is female only," I expected this to be a female-only hostel. However, it is simply a separate (with separate locks as well) hallway of rooms for women. That was fine, and I felt safe as a solo female traveller, but the description provided online is very misleading and I was quite confused on my arrival. Beds were comfortable, with super soft and warm duvets and cushy pillows! Location is absolutely perfect!

You need to download an extra app for signing in and as a key. So make sure that your smartphone has enough space left for the download. It´s not a big app but you need space for it.

Clean, safe and very helpful and friendly staff. Great place to be if you are a lover of Tate Modern. It´s only a ten minutes walk.

There is no kitchen (only a microwave), the an app system (you need to download an app to get through different doors and into your room) is super annoying (you need to carry your phone everywhere, including the shower, where there is no place to put it away safely...etc)

Great location, good value for money

    - you had to install an app to get into hostel/your room, your phone was your key which was ridiculous and very inconvenient - not a female only hostel - it got incredibly hot and musty in the room even though we had two windows open and air-conditioning on

    - one of the best areas in London, right besides Borough Market and Riverside with good transportation connections - the bed / linen / mattress was comfortable with privacy curtains - good value for money if you're in for a night or two

Check-in is a bit late. Not many showers in the Oasis area.

The Hostel is located close-by London Bridge train station which was perfect since it is well connected to the airports. Check-in was fast: I had already received an e-mail to download the app which will give you access to the different areas of the hostel (very safe I'd say) so once there I didn't loose much time. The bed was comfortable and had a locker under it ( you will need a padlock. It was big enough for my backpack, not sure for a big suitcase) and complimentary earplugs were provided. In each bed there are 2 USB inputs and a socket (usb plugs was slow but the socket worked well) and a shelf were you can keep some belongings. You can rent a towel for 5£ and when you check out they will give you back 2£. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

It would have been helpful to have a power point available in the bathroom, I didn't want to wake others in my room when I got up early, so would have liked to straighten my hair in thr bathroom. Also just an awkward job to do on a top bunk bed, but that was my only option for a power point.

Clean, well presented and well thought out rooms. The individual power points at each bed were helpful. I was grateful for the complimentary earplugs (not that the other guests in my room were noisy, I'm just a light sleeper and I found it a thoughtful touch)

The dorm was female only but it wasn't a female only hostel. There were no kitchen facilities. Just a kettle and a microwave. No frisdge sink or cooking facilities. You had to rinse things and fill the kettle up from a small sink in the laundry.

bed was comfy and the room didn't feel too cramped

Location was good and the mattress on the bed were super comfy, the linen etc, good quality and clean. The doors were tedious though. You needed your phone with you to get through all the locks, which was a pain when going for a shower. The staff were fabulous and the rent a towel was a good size. You can request a bottom bunk and they will accommodate that. Breakfast was okay, but the coffee machine quality was average.

The noise... The street was noisy and also the best and lockers. Not easy to fall asleep, but the guests are provided with ear plugs, which definitely helps a lot. Also very few toilets and sinks were small too

The place was what was announced and stated in the commentaries. It's not the best place ever, nor the best night of a lifetime... But it's a good value for money for a quick stay in central London. Close to the tube, train, supermarkets and restaurants.
