The Hotel is owned and run by people from your Island Community. That's a wonderful thing because it means that the hotel is connected to the place in which it is situated and Iona is a very special place. The Staff are sound, the food was great and the location is wonderful. The three of us travelled by bicycle from Oban. We will be back for sure. Go raibh maith agaibh go léir.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay in St Columba. The hotel's location was simply perfect, offering breathtaking views and convenient access to all the attractions I wanted to visit. What truly stood out, though, was the outstanding care I received from the staff. From the moment I checked in, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any request made my stay in Iona truly memorable. I can't wait to return to this exceptional hotel in the future.

If we could have stayed longer.

My husband and I were greeted at the dock on arrival .. so nice to be met and welcomed, especially after the long journey we had to get there. We felt right at home! Staff was exceptional.. so friendly, helpful and fun! So many members went out of their way to make our stay so very special! We were traveling to celebrate our 25th anniversary and they made our experience one to remember. What a bonus to see the Aurora Borealis! Our dinner was amazing and the homemade olive bread was wow! So delicious! Such a beautiful hotel and setting by the water next to Iona Abbey. We look forward to returning again! And telling our friends and family of this beautiful hotel on Iona. Sláinte

    Bathroom was a bit small.

View from the room was tremendous. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were very comfortable. 5 minute walk to Iona Abbey. Very many thanks to Louise on the phone at reception and Rick our hero for rescuing us in his boat from Fionnfort when we missed the last ferry.

I was in room #7. During open restaurant hours (which was often) I could hear the sound of pots, pans, dishes etc, coming up from below. I assume this was the kitchen or part of the restaurant. It was audible, but quieted down as soon as the kitchen closed.

Iona is possibly the most relaxing place I have ever visited. I was not sure what to expect on the island, or at St Cōlumba Hotel, but I really enjoyed both a lot! The hotel is clean and efficient with friendly staff. The views are fabulous. The restaurant meals were fabulous for both evening and breakfast. Lunch and afternoon tea are also available, but I did not eat there during those times. I liked that organic and local foods are the focus of St. Cōlumba's restaurant. I hope to return again someday and stay longer than two nights!

No TV in the room, although that added to the peace of the place! The toilet is a bit of a squeeze.

Perfect location, with a view of the Abbey from the garden and of the sea from the breakfast room/restaurant. They collected my bags from the ferry and were superb at looking after guests. Delicious food in the restaurant - tried my first wood pigeon and loved it! And what a breakfast!

Nothing really. We were in a twin room that was comfortable. We'd have preferred a double but none available...... but we did book last minute, so no worries at all.

Such a fabulous location. Food was great but the staff make this place!! Lively, friendly, helpful and just lovely people.

I had a lovely stay at the St Columba with my dog. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food and room were lovely. They were so accommodating of my dog, she wasn’t allowed in the restaurant but they set a place for me in the lounge so I could have dinner and breakfast without having to leave her in the room. They even offer to pick you up/drop you off at the ferry!
