Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Really nice hotel, not sure it was worth £240 per night though. £140, yes. Very nice stay though.

United KingdomI changed rooms because no walk in shower, unfortunately that changed the view from the lawn area to the car park, plus in the move my shoes were lost but found the day before we left we asked when the bar would shut and were informed that it would be late but it closed at 12 every night which was disappointing

United KingdomWe paid extra for a balcony room with a lake/garden view, however the balcony was tiny. It only had room for one chair and the view was only partial. That was rather disappointing.
Breakfasts were excellent. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. It was great to have a fridge in or room. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The cleaners were efficient and accommodating.
