Some of the rooms could do with a little update in terms of decoration and modernisation

The amount of space and the location

A bit tired in places. The ground floor bedroom had a terrible noise issue from the water tank

    Good sized rooms, spotlessly clean

As above, i booked on behalf of my work. I had no negative feedback what so ever about the house, the only recommendation they had was; - We found booking a taxi very difficult so a dedicated number of who they use would be great.

I booked this on behalf of my Boss, for a team building event. Their feedback was as follows; - Lovely setting with beautiful walks immediately available from the property. Well appointed kitchen area with ample room for large groups. - I thought it was a lovely house. Clean, and well stocked for anything we needed. The Farm dog was a bonus too! - Location was very easy to find and parking was ample. Great location for the countryside walks. House, nice and clean and very warm, so comfortable for everyone. We found booking a taxi very difficult so a dedicated number of who they use would be great.

The TVs didn’t work particularly well and had limited channels.

Fantastic rural location a few miles outside Stow-on-the-wold. Spacious and very well equipped.

There are many (many!!!) small things in the house that are broken. I think there was at least one thing in every room that was broken - light fittings, toilet roll holders, shower heads, towel rails, window locks, etc. I highly recommend that you have a handyman go through the house and fix all these little things. That would bring the whole house up to the level it deserves. It really is a great house, and the little niggles are very annoying and detract from the overall quality. The shower in the ground floor bedroom in the house with the ‘drinks’ kitchen is absolutely not safe. The step into and out of the shower is very high, and when the person’s foot is wet, getting out of the shower is incredibly slippery and dangerous, with no handhold other than the heated towel rail (which is a good reach away, and also hot!!). To separate the rubbish between general recycling, glass, and general waste is a great idea. It would therefore be helpful to have more than one bin in the kitchen so that we could separate the rubbish as we went along. Not having wifi throughout the property is a real drawback, particularly given the unsurprisingly weak reception most people had on their phones. I strongly recommend that you do whatever you have to do to ensure that wifi is available throughout the property, even if that means having to have two separate wifi circuits. Having a smart tv is only useful if there is internet connectivity - which there was not, making the ’smart’ tv much less intelligent. When the power went off on Saturday night, which I appreciate is not something under your control, it would have been good to have a torch or some candles and matches. Many properties I have stayed in before have a basket or drawer with some useful bits and pieces such as these - and maybe tape, scissors, elastic bands, a pen, etc. Another useful thing would have been a collection of user manuals.

The house itself is fabulous. Having 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, with two kitchens etc is incredible for a group the size of ours - we had 18 people sleeping there. The outdoor facilities, the location, the linens and towels, the kitchen amenities, Mark’s helpfulness, were all big plus points. It was great having two dishwashers, two fridges (actually three!), etc, and plenty of cutlery, crockery, chairs, etc.
