Matress was like sleeping on springs and burnt my hand on the taps in the bathroom. The taps are the wrong way round and I put the cold tap on when brushing my teeth and didn't pay attention and stuck my hands under. Other than those 2 points the place was great.

Dirty glasses 2 with mould in, worktops not wiped , empty crisp packet left, bin not emptied, gardens a mess broken furniture left in it , tv not working properly and shower not working.

2 large outdoor areas were unkempt. Grass, weeds, thistles and nettles were almost waist high. It’s situated on the middle of an estate and there was a constant fug of weed in the air. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and the window didn’t open so the shower kept tripping.

It was beautiful weather so it would have been good to be able to sit outside but the grass was too high It needed mowing.

Beautifully appointed apartment within easy walking distance of the town with shops and restaurants.

When we arrived we were shocked to find ourselves driving into a council estate. When we located our apartment we approached with trepidation along a garden path surrounded by grass and weeds two feet high. Ferrol kids were bouncing on a garage roof, the whole place had an awful air of neglect. On opening the door to the downstairs flat we were shocked to see a huge accumulation of mail behind the door and no cleaner had been in since the last people left. Luckily we were able to contact the owner who was able to offer us another property in another town. We drove there and again were extremely disappointed but was too tired and it was too late in the day to object. In our opinion neither of these properties were suitable as holiday lets.

The sofa was comfortable and the carpets were fairly new.

The shower was over the bath which had high sides. My wife is very unstable on her feet, hence the request for ground floor accommodation, getting into this bath was a nightmare as there is no handles or rails to assist you with, making this extremely dangerous. No bedside lights at all available which makes getting in and out of bed at night in a strange house very trying, hence lights outside the bedroom had to be left on for safe passage when needing the bathroom.

Location on web site stated 200 meters from sea. The 200 meters was "as the crow flies" Over a 1.5 meter brick wall, through a wooded area with horses grazing, then across a golf course. Impossible for two 76 year olds to access. This would have been more like 1,500 meters.

Strong smell of smoke! We had to open up windows but didn’t help. Made us feel nauseous. Fortunately good weather enabled us to escape.

The problems with the property were the location. It is situated in a council estate or ex council estate and when i turned up the front garden was a mess. There was someone who came to mow it whilst I was there however it still looked a mess after this. The bathroom has no ventilation other than the window so smelt damp. I then found that the boiler could not be turned off and was faulty. Moving into the bedroom the damp smell increased and then i found the source was coming from a leaking radiator which was dropping water onto the carpet in a steady stream and looked as if it had been doing this for a while. There were damp stains on the wall behind the bed which were not great. The internet connection is three mobile wifi which was appalling. It blocked just about any site (not adult) that it felt like and even though the owners said they had unblocked it this continued. There was netflix on the tv but again due to the wifi this kept stuttering. These problems wouldnt have been so bad if the charges were not so high for this property. Working in the local hospital a lot I stay here frequently and can say there are far nicer and cheaper places to stay in this area. If these issues were fixed it would be ok but not the kind of place you would go on holiday to.

The hosts were excellent and kept good comms with myself. The place was nicely decorated and looked nice and it was quite close to the seaside.
