How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Just like the pictures, no hidden surprises. Modern and clean. Nice surroundings, with convenience store right across the street. 15 minutes walk from metro station.

Clean warm bright lovely feeling about the apartment and area. Little shop across the road. Has all you need. Private on bathrooms to each bedroom. Something that is important that you can remove shower from the attachment so you can wash properly that is definitely a 10/10 for me.

No washing liquid or brush to wash the dishes by hand. Only two tablets for dishwasher for 4 nights.

Location is a bit far from London center but I believe the price reflects this, still it is quite easy to travel to city center using the underground or rail service. The kitchen could have more accessories.

Not applicable, absolutely loved everything! No complaints!
The 2 bed and 2 bathroom apartment was absolutely huge, which I did not expect. It was well worth it for the price and located around 10 minutes from the train station. Amazing location, amazing price and the condition of the apartment was pristine.

Finding key is a big challenge... directions are not clear and sending people's to fix the heaters and balcony during the time when I need to go out is very bad

The staff were really helpful and provided good feedbacks when needed. I wanted to check in my bags early so they allowed me to access the room to leave my bags before check in.

The check in process was slightly complicated
Really clean and really big! We couldn’t find the hairdryer and rang to contact property & they where really helpful and we found it straight away! Bathrooms really clean and shower powerful

We love everything about this apartment because it really feel like a home away from home. The beds & pillows are comfy so we had a very good night sleep after each exhausting day exploring London. Bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, living room are clean & spotless. The space is just right to accomodate me, my husband & our 2 boys.The complete kitchen is my favourite features because I was able to cook breakfast, lunch & dinner for my family with ease. The location of the apartment is fabulous. Just 15 to 20 minutes walk to the tube station. Plenty of halal shops around for muslim to buy fresh produce & ready-to-eat food. The price is value for money & the communication with the host is smooth from the moment I booked the apartment to the day I check in. We would really love to stay here again when we visit London in the future!

While my overall experience at Stayo Apartments Barking Wharf was exceptional, one aspect that I found less favorable was its location in Zone 4 of the Underground. The commute to Zone 1 took approximately half an hour, which, for some travelers, might be inconvenient.
Stayo Apartments Barking Wharf is ideally situated, providing easy access to local attractions and transportation. The spaces were generous, the furniture elegant, and the modern interior design contributed to a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.
