Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesWe didn’t like that you could hear the subway 24/7 literally. That squeaking from the rails was constant. And our particular room, the shower was not constructed enough off the ground so all the water went right into the wood. I could see mold and smell mold.
Loved the location being near to everything, bus and rail! We loved that everything was provided to cook! The bed was super comfy, everything was modern and eco friendly. And the AC worked perfect.

Loved the quirkiness of staying in a shipping container, but you couldn't tell it was, once inside. The shower was excellent. The bed was really comfortable.

IrelandBe prepared that it’s noisy through the night as it’s right beside the railway tracks. It was also a bit too bright for me in the morning hours (no blackout blinds) so I used an eye mask.
Great location, right beside Waterloo Station. Small rooms but modern, clean and comfortable, handy access via entry codes. We were also pleased to get early access to the room on arrival so we could drop our bags and go shopping!

United KingdomWe received an email letting us know the room was ready. When we arrived , the room had not been cleaned. After calling, the housekeeping lady came and started arguing about why the room had not been done. We ended up checking in quite late. Unnecessary trouble.
Loved the stow away, really enjoy the large comfy bed, lovely bathroom and small kitchen area. Location is great too.

IrelandYou could not open the windows even a little bit, this led to the fire alarm waking us one morning as one of our neighbours were cooking. Another downside is the proximity to the railway line as you could hear the breaks of the train screeching every so often.
For a small room it did not feel cramped at all. The bed was so big you could fit 3-4 people in it. It was clean throughout and had a lot of facilities such as a dishwasher, kitchenette, microwave, USB ports, etc. The place itself is unmanned and the communication (pre-written messages) from the company was outstanding, giving is the codes to access the building and our room in advance of our arrival. The building is a 5-10 minute walk to the London and even underground stations.

The hotel is really close to the London Eye and within seconds walking to the Lower Marsh street where you find lots of street food offers all week long. Wi-Fi is very stable and the bed is comfortable.
