Having a disability the stairs were steep and uncarpeted with only one hand rail to the right side .This cottage has lounge and kitchenette on the second floor so I needed to access second floor .As I curently live in a bungalow and can manage my disability with a bit of a struggle the exercise did me good but I felt unsafe on the stairs .

Everything was available at the property. for self catering .It is in an ideal situation for going out and about visiting sites and friends .The accomadation was clean and welcolming on arrival .

We chose Carrbridge as a base for exploring the Cairngorms area as everything is just a few miles away. We found Strathspey Cottage on Booking.Com and it looked perfect. There is ample parking at the side of the house, and easy access through the gate into the property. The bedroom and bathroom are downstairs, and the kitchen and living room upstairs. The kitchen had everything needed for our stay, and the living room was comfortable with a flat screen TV. The Wi-Fi was good, although better downstairs than upstairs. The bedroom has a massive bed which is very comfortable, and even has a TV on the wall. Outside there is a small paved area with a table and two chairs, perfect for a sundowner in the glorious weather we had during our stay. We had our dog with us, and right across the road is access to the Carrbridge woodland walks. This is a gem of a cottage, we are so glad we booked it and will definitely stay again if we're in the area.

This is not a criticism but just for information- the microwave door was a little temperamental and I meant to leave a note saying so but forgot. Unless you used the microwave you wouldn’t know.

A wee gem of a cottage which managed to be both compact and spacious; that's no mean feat! 😁 The cottage is ideally placed to explore Carrbridge and the surrounding area on foot, and also to travel further afield by car. Spotlessly clean and very comfy, with lots of little extra touches (thanks for the milk and eggs!) that made it feel like a home from home. I will definitely return!

wasn’t keen on the wooden stairs , really needs a carpet , found the quilt far too heavy for me , but know that a lot of people would love it.

It was a little cold in the bedroom not sure if electric heater was working however bed was very comfortable and bedroom was large in size.

The cottage was clean and tidy with all the facilities you need. Excellent location for walking and visiting the local area.

The kitchen could have been better equiped and had some very basic things like cooking oil. Would have been nice to have a bit of heat on upstairs on arrival, especially as it was a storage heater so didn't warm up until the next day. But all worked out okay.

The stair is quite steep and narrow so maybe an issue for elderly or anyone not so steady on their feet.

Super wee house in a lovely village, within walking distance of a pub and a hotel so two choices of good food plus there is also takeaway in village and a cafe. Was a great base for our golf break. House was very comfy and well equipped.

I have stayed here before on numerous locations and always book the same cottage as know what im going to get on arrival, very well equipped cottage and location is perfect as just across the road from Landmark Adventure Park as i always go with my grandson, he also loves the location for Landmark, park just down the road and plenty of walks, will be returning soon if available.
