The apartment was beautiful, very well equipped and so comfortable and cosy. The location is fantastic, with plenty of shops and eateries within a few steps. Amanda was so kind and helpful, and always got back to us very quickly. Use the long stay car park off Howling Lane, there are no restrictions and it’s free. And try the scones at the Strawberry Lounge downstairs!

The lighting was dim in all rooms - a real problem if you like to read (and why wouldn’t you when you’ve been to the famous Barter Books) or even play for a board game. Ideally it would be better to have the option of a brighter light in the sitting room, plus a light on both sides of each of the beds. Just about OK for cooking but brighter light over kitchen worktop would be good.

The central location, the good furnishings, the well equipped kitchen and spacious rooms. It was also very clean.

A tricky front door - just need to get the knack of it, then it’s fine.

Wonderful large spaces for relaxing and eating. Well equipped kitchen and beautifully organised! Very clean everywhere and very comfortable beds. Brilliantly central location, a little traffic noise but nothing major - Harry’s bar didn’t bother us at all. Great views of castle and Amanda couldn’t have been nicer, more accommodating or helpful. Am planning my return trip!

Absolutely incredible. Beautiful, spotlessly clean house, extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated with lots of lovely little touches to make our stay perfect. Everything we needed was there (even games for when we were relaxing in the evening), welcome treats and even (much appreciated as we’d forgotten) shower wash. Home from home! Extremely comfortable beds and lovely helpful owner. Thank you!

Be aware that this property is directly on to a road (can't be avoided if you want to be centrally located). It wasn't extremely busy but you can hear traffic.

Decorated to a high standard with modern furnishings. Loved the open fire. Great central location. The prosecco and biscuits were a lovely surprise. Had a great meal at the Dirty Bottles and drink in Harry's Bar both only steps away from this lovely accommodation.

Amazing location and really beautiful house to stay in! The property is ideally located to looking around the town of Alnwick and provides easy access to great restraunts, such as the wonderful Indian across the road 😀 Host was very attentive, the beds were gorgeous and we all had a really relaxing time! Amazing trip!

The property is of a good size, very centrally located and quiet. Lots of crockery, cups, glasses and cutlery provided. The wecome package was err welcome. Harry's bar was friendly and welcoming and ideal for a nightcap, being positioned adjacent to the property and the adjacent cafe Strawberry lounge was great for breakfast, coffee and cakes.

There is some noise from the bar downstairs, however this stops at 10pm and wasn’t a problem for ourselves.

Great location, near to everything you may need and very close 24hr parking. Local shops nearby to grab any food etc, and great cooking facilities. Bedrooms were very large, with good wardrobe space and comfy beds. Highly Recommend!

The only slight downside was as it's in the centre there's no parking but there was ample free parking nearby (2 minutes walk), you can and we did unload outside the house though.

For at least the last 10 years my wife and I travel the UK at least 4 times per year and I can honestly say this accommodation has been the best one yet. An absolutely beautiful house bang in the heart of Alnwick

This house is stunning a real gem centrally located in Old alnwick Town. The owner really has made sure everything is there that's needed is in the house , proesecco and biscuits on arrival. Pet friendly gets my vote, the rooms were all lovely I slept in the master which was super comfy bed. While I was there I checked out Harry's bar, the beach club and also dirty bottles for a meal which was lush all pretty much just downstairs from the property. By day I explored alnwick Gardens, holy island and alnmouth beach. Very cosy at night nice ambient decor, I didn't want to leave-thanks so much for a wonderful stay I feel so happy to have picked this property. Highly reccomended

The only issue we had was because we took my elderly mother she struggled with the stairs,a handrail would have made all the difference,going up from entrance door and up to The kitchen,just one would have helped.
