This is a truly delightful hotel. The charming buildings in the most beautiful countryside provide the perfect setting for pleasure and comfort. The facilities, including the spa, offer all that one could want for a few days of luxury and comfort. The attention to detail and the friendly and helpful staff all contribute to a special experience - and the restaurant food is is outstandingly good and delicious.

Would have preferred a standing shower rather than a bathtub. It is also quite pricey.

Staff are incredible. They didn’t miss a beat. The hotel is located in a beautiful village. It’s very easy to drive around Dorset. The food at the restaurant is a must for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Very quaint and cosy. Staff and other guests were very friendly. Bed and bedroom very comfortable and we loved the evening house keeping service. The dinner menu is unique and delicious. Bea and the rest of the hotel team made my husband feel very special for his 60th birthday celebration.

All the parked cars in front of building, near reception, while there is a big car park at the back 55 meters away.

Lovely grounds and hotel set in the beautiful village of Evershot. Room was superb with a lovely conservatory and courtyard. Perfect for our stay with our little dog. Dinner from the terrace menu in the whiskey bar (so we could eat with our dog with us) was delicious and good value. Staff friendly and helpful from start to finish (even gave us a package of some of the hotel's unbelievably delicious shortbread for the journey as we asked if there was any more).

There is little not to like at Summer Lodge we intend to return in warmer weatrher to make the most of the gardens.

Food was terrific with friendly and attentive staff and a very knowledgeable somellier. I can see a michelin star heading in the direction of Summer Lodge

Slightly noisy heating but it wasn’t a problem. We just turned it off at night.

The food was fantastic but what really stood out was the service and the ‘above and beyond’. The cosy little bar area was perfect and the little extras with our coffees were an unexpected treat. I wish we had had enough time to visit the Drawing Room for afternoon tea.

Always a pleasure at the Summer Lodge. The quality of the food and service is second to none; the staff make you feel like a member of the family and nothing is too much for them. My favourite hotel in England.

I think the carpet could be a little cleaner, my partner suffers with allergies and often he had an itchy nose caused by dust

The food was nice but felt like it was a little overpriced.

Beautiful hotel that has retained its character and not tried to be too modern! Loved the quiet bedroom and comfy bed! Spa facilities were also great. The staff were great and the little touches of the free shortbread and water was fantastic.

A minor complaint is that the spa building is not attached to the hotel so you have to dress to and from spa.

The feel of the hotel is relaxed and comfortable. We asked for a quiet room and that is what we got. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The chef is amazing. The best we have had in Dorset.

Everything. Superbly designed and run hotel. Grand and luxurious yet very relaxed. Worth going just to enjoy the drawing room. Wonderful pool building.

We asked every day for someone to get subtitles on our room tv but they tried but unable over 3 days We were looking forward to relaxing in our room and watching tv my wife and I need subtitles It would also prevent having the tv loud and possibly disturbing other guest which I don’t think happened. If it was such a problem then with the sort of money we paid they could of put a temporary free standing new one in the room Might seem a small thing but to us it was important,that’s why doom of my scores were a bit low Cheers Rick mills A
