The situation was good . The character of the hotel was nice . The staff were friendly. But the bedroom was old and had no shower . The windows were rotten and dangerous. There was rat running from the kitchen area in the car park . The ace was run down .

The toilet on one of purpose 2 rooms was used and not flushed/ cleaned. Also one of the rooms did not have a shower and only a bath. Due to the age of the building there was a strong damp smell which was off putting.

The location was excellent.

Noisy night club just along the road loud music until 2 ,or 3 then noise as People left in the early hours cars hooting horns.

The food and service were very good.free parking good too.

The shower wasn't very clean and the water temperature was unstable fluctuating between cold and hot. I wasn't impressed with the reception we received on returning to the bar just before 10pm, the barmaid grumbled we we only just in time to get a drink and we were asked to move out of the bar area before we had finished.

Room was comfortable and breakfast good. A friendly reception on arrival.

Room was in a very poor state, tatty, the only reason we did not complain was that the bedding was ok, it is in need of total renovation. Peeling paint and the pipe work in the bathroom had not been for sometime and the skirting boards were not clean, cobwebs everywhere and a shower that was so small, difficult to close the shower door. The corridors leading to the bedrooms are in a very shoddy state, peeling walls and frayed carpets, this is in a poor state of repair. The picture on booking.com looked nothing like our room.

There was no breakfast available, we had a long wait on arrival and staff could be heard arguing and using bad language on the reception desk. Not impressed 🙁

cleanliness was not great. Bathroom smelt damp Bath was not clean. Wouldn't leave window open as it was on the ground floor and outside the window were bins and an old matrass

The rooms are very tired. Furniture & carpets all require replacing. Rooms in general all need to be refurbished. The bathroom was antiquated

Sadly let down by the hotel itself with cleanliness, dirty glass in bathroom. Carpet didn't look as if cleaned properly. The hotel and rooms are very tired! Definitely needs up dating and there is some mould in places around windows and bathroom. Photo's shown are only two of the bedrooms that looked like new. Extremely hot rooms, had to turn radiators down. Shame as would otherwise be a great hotel if updated

Location is great and beautiful hotel from the outside. The parking wasn't a problem even on a late arrival. The welcoming of the staff friendliness was fantastic, couldn't fault from reception, bar and restaurant. Beds fairly comfortable and did sleep after turning the radiators down. The cooked breakfast delicious, staff couldn't be more helpful.
