We were in a small room with a bathroom with a slanted floor which when wet felt that we were going to slip over. My husband knocked his head on the shower ceiling as it was so small in the eaves of the building and the stairs weee narrow up to the room. We saw other rooms on the floor below that looked like they weee a good size and more up to date. The bed was small. We are not big people luckily but I struggles to sleep through the night as it seemed smaller than a regular double bed.

It was in the centre of Hitchin close to everything. We were warmly welcomed by a member is staff who helped us up the stairs with our case.

Didn't realise - as an old coaching inn - there is no lift. We were on the third floor and carrying suitcases up very narrow steps was difficult. Also, all our party are in their 70s, so simply walking up and down stairs all the time was difficult and tiring.

Very friendly staff who quickly rectified a couple of problems we experienced.

The chemical used to clean the room stayed in for over 12 hrs giving me migraine despite having left window open and using plenty of my perfume. The staff were funny and friendly. Would appreciate avoidance in use of profanity in conversation as not everyone is comfortable with it.

Location in the middle of town.

Only 2 sachets of milk provided.Small car park . Down a ramp .akward to get out of when other car park to office building full and delivery big lorry arrives ... Breakfast wasn't the best .and same evening meal .We not fussy .but really wasn't good .We went in town for our meals after first day .. Bedroom small .but cosy .nice to look out and see our car in car park . especially when crowded party on .people drunk around cars .

Hitchen is a lovely old market town. All The staff very very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in a beautiful area. The breakfast wasn’t good, evening meal was ok. However there are plenty of places to eat all with in walking distance. We didn’t sleep well due to other very noisy guests. Not the hotels fault though but left exhausted after a two night stay.
