I think a few new kitchen utensils would be nice. Maybe some wooden spatulas or spoons, then the saucepans would not be so scratched. Otherwise, I was very happy with the cottage.

There were no outdoor areas to use, despite being advertised as dog friendly. It was a bit of a "building site" and looking back at reviews, it seems this work has been ongoing since last year. I think once completed it will be amazing. The house itself was basic but we didn't expect anything fancy and the price reflected the standard.

We were purely interested in the location, which did not disappoint. The view from the ftont of the house is amazing and the local walks are out of this world, if you are into hiking. It did the job for our two day break.

The couch seats 4 but would be nice to have an easy chair or two. Outdoor areas have a lot of potential but as above, owner is in process of landscaping at the minute, and wasn't really the weather for sitting out anyway!

Superb location, with views for miles across to Manchester. Although if felt rural, easy to get to Manchester. Owner is in process of landscaping outside, but that didn't affect us. Great value for money, host was helpful with advice about public transport and sorted us an earlier check in.

There was nothing we didn't like. The work that was going on was a bit noisy but otherwise there was nothing else we didn't like. Couldn't really fault it.

We could not fault the property. It was lovely and the view from the window was spectacular. The property had everything you needed for a short or long stay. We would stay there again and also would recommend to friends and family.

The kitchen was not very well equipped.

The house was spacious and warm. The beds were very comfortable. The location was stunning. There were a few issues on arrival, but these were quickly rectified by the host.

Only 2 mugs for potentially 4 people staying! The back garden was rather scruffy. Had it been Spring or Summer it wouldn't have been an attractive proposition to sit out at the back.

Roomy accommodation for the price. It wasn't far from where we needed to be the following day. It was close to The Old Original pub where we had an excellent, good value evening meal.

Maybe a lick of paint in places, and a welcome pack explaining the cooker and hob, although the hosts did send a message to say if we needed help they would come to the property to show us how to use it. I personally didn't want to disturb them so it was trial and error for figuring out the oven.

The location was perfect for us to visit family and also to walk on the moors. The house was very comfortable and homely. The hosts check in information was very detailed and made us feel welcome. We would definitely return, when visiting family.

The only negative was that the house was a little cold at night and the bedding was quite thin so my elderly mother did feel cold overnight - I know if we'd called the owners they would have increased the temp. and given extra bedding but it was well past midnight when we arrived and I did not want to disturb them so late.

The kitchen had all the required pots and pans. It would have been nice to have some basic supplies of oil, salt and pepper etc for basic cooking requirements. We brought our own breakfast stuff such as milk and cereal, tea bags etc just in case there wasn't these supplied...and its lucky we did. The kitchen was clean and the availability of a downstairs wc was very helpful. The view in the morning (we arrived very late at night as we were coming from London) was stunning.

Could not enter the property on arrival as key code had been changed and didn't get email till later. Had a hectic time trying to ring owner who was on holiday. Eventually got in and all was good.

It's a little petty but tv remote for the smart TV was missing so couldn't access Netflix or anything nor could I screen share with my smart phone one as the TV wasn't compatible which was disappointing but owner did explain control did go missing which I get it can happen

Only problem was the small fridge and limited cooking utensils - this would be fine for a short stay but for a longer stay a small upgrade would make the place fantastic!
