Lovely homely stay. The hosts are really friendly and left jam and cream scones. The bed is lovely and comfy. We had a lovely relaxing stay! Beautiful scenery around the hut. With the lambs just outside. The stars on a clear night were amazing for any star gazers! We took microwave meals as there’s a microwave, kettle and mini fridge. The little touches are lovely.

really clean, lovely and warm. had all the essentials. amazing views from all windows and not overlooked. Bed extremely comfortable. toilet area nice clean, lots of light when walking to the loo at night. fantastic pub in walking distance. The Mason Arms, great food.

EVERYTHING WAS JUST AMAZING! The views, the location . So peaceful, absolutely stunning . All you could need in the huts, spotlessly clean , beautifully presented . Even some milk and scones with jam and butter . We will definitely be returning here !

Amazing little hut. We stayed for one night with two dogs. Very comfortable and cozy, facilities were clean and tidy. The hut backs onto the lambing field, which was lovely to watch them running around on the morning.

Washing up was a bit tricky until we decided to use the wooden table outdoors. Otherwise nothing - it was all great!

Loved the themed blue throws, cushions, bedding & rugs. Dutch spotted lambs were a delight. Bed extremely comfortable. Scones with butter & jam on arrival were most welcome & a very kind. Private bathroom appreciated. The owners had put a lot of thought into creating a delightful experience.

Honestly cannot fault Sunny Mount. Would definitely go back again.

Second time staying at Sunny Mount and didn’t disappoint. The owners are so hospitable and the pods are so cosy. It was really cold, middle of winter when we stayed and they were really warm. So lovely to wake up to those views too. Pods and toilets are really clean and have everything you need.

We had preciously stayed in the camping pod so we thought we would try the Shepherds hut. Light and airy, extremely well kitted out and lovely furnishings. Also a lovely view from all windows. The owners are lovely and very welcoming.

There are 2 separate huts, and a separate bathroom hut with 2 bathrooms that are allocated to each hut. I think there’d been some confusion with the other guests and which bathroom was theirs so they’d ended up using mine, and so I used theirs, which was fine, but later I was uncertain if perhaps they’d continued to use both bathrooms or not, which have separate towels etc.

Perfect rest stop on the journey north. Not too far from M6. Carole’s instructions on finding the hut were very helpful as was dark and raining. Carole herself was lovely!! And I found the famous scone waiting for me in the hut as I arrived. Extremely cosy sleep and so peaceful waking up to the misty morning fields.

The hut was a little bit cold in the evening although we visited at the end of November and the hosts did provide plenty of blankets and an electric heater/fire.

The shepherd's hut was so comfortable and cosy. The facilities were very clean and had everything that we needed for a lovely stay. The location was excellent. The milk, scones and jam on arrival were a wonderful addition!
