Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only thing I can say is the beds could use an extra 3inch foam mattress over the top as I could feel the middle and it was a bit uncomfortable if you rolled onto it.
The wonderfully fresh air and farm smells. All the amenities that were available. The proximity of the attractions we booked tickets for. All in all it was a lovely weekend getaway. Oh and feeding the donkey's carrots of course.

United KingdomThere was nothing to not like about this place.... the only thing was the first bedroom the bed wasn't very comfy compared to the other two that was it.
Amazing lodge with everything you could need home away from home! We were very surprised on how much was there including a coffee machine, games, books, beautiful handmade items and even sky! Nicola was so lovely and it was so beautiful to have the donkeys right outside our door.

United KingdomWe didn't need double beds in the smaller rooms and probably would have preferred the extra space, but that's being really picky.
The view. Lovely place, space just a bit tight in bedrooms and en suite however we managed fine. Excellent outdoor area which we didn't use much as we busy out visiting people and places. Very kind hosts. A wonderful memory. There seemed a good play area for children and there was access to some of the animals.

United KingdomHaving to go home! We loved our stay and can't fault it!
My family and I adored our stay. Our hosts were wonderful and the location was stunning. We stayed so we were in close proximity to Longleat safari and it was the perfect location. We also walked to the local pubs (there are two a short distance away, one right on the canal the other with a lovely play area for kids). Everything was lovely and we would certainly go back!

United KingdomThe bedrooms are lovely and comfortable but may not be a good size for big people.
The house was super clean and has all facilities we needed. Amazing views and great atmosphere with green space and fresh air. We slept really well as it was quiet during the night. We got up and drank freshy brew coffee (from the Tassimo machine) and looked out of the windows with the scene of all donleys and horses, it was a very good started of the day. The location is good and not far from Melksham town centre (by car). There are enough space for parking 2 cars for each house. Our kids had the most wonderful time, lots of books and toys inside the house, lovely playground with toys, trampolines and tree top house in the garden. Good size kitchen with full equipments. Such a good place to be. We definitely going back for either holiday or when we have business to do in Melksham and Chippenham.

Stunning location with amazing views of English countryside. Everything was sparkling clean, fresh beddings, towels and slippers. Everything from air conditioning, sky tv, toys, books, games, barbecue, outdoor furnitures, play area for children and even menu cards from nearby pubs and restaurants available. Children enjoyed feeding donkeys, goats and chickens. Above all super friendly host, showed us around the farm, told us about the history of the farm itself and nice places to visit nearby. Lastly the gift shop in the lodge itself with locally produced items was amazing.

United KingdomThis place was a little gem.......great views. Our kids loved the donkeys and goat. There was a play park out the back with a tree house, swing, trampoline and ping pong amongst other things. The lodge it self was clean and plenty of space for us. Some lovely little amenities, like the milk and toilet roll and sauces already in fridge. Also tea and coffee. The view of the sunset was a nice little extra. We stayed here to travel to longleaf, much better than staying in travel lodge and cheaper for us as a family of 5. We visited both pubs in the village, in walking distance and food was great at both. We would defiantly come back to this place.

United KingdomChalet covered in ants powder. Fly stickers on windows full of dead flies. Above curtains lots of dead flies and spiders webs (old ones). Cheese grater had dry cheese and some of the mugs weren't clean. Empty packets of food left behind sofa. Opened and used butter left in fridge. Almost empty bottles of used sauces left in fridge. BBQ filthy so we didn't use. Hoover was full from when last used.
Perfect location. Loved the welcome sign when we arrived. Lovely local pubs within walking distance. Lovely clean bedding. Plenty of extras included, needed for nothing.

United KingdomWe travelled by train and taxi. Impossible to get a taxi to come out to pick us up on the Sunday. Very few taxi's running on a Sunday and none would come out to the farm . Bedroom extremely small and bed uncomfortable for a couple as so narrow. Not the farms fault but we didn't expect public transport to be so difficult and taxi drivers so reluctant to come out. In fridge an open bacon packet with an old slice of bacon in and a pot of sauce ?. Felt like the fridge hadn't been checked properly.
Lodge had lots of essentials cleaning materials, tea, coffee etc. Lovely view. Nice animals to look at and pet. Easy walk to the canal.
