Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ItalyThe bathroom sink was very tiny but this isn't a real problem, it's fine anyway. The bed is little for 2 people but I slept very well anyway, it was comfortable.
The apartment was very clean and all brand new, and the kitchen well served with all the stuff, they gave us many advices on what to see in London and they always were ready to answer my questions. We had a nice stay, would highly recommend!

United KingdomDifficulty in getting the shower hot enough but was adequate. Location was little noisy as someone nearby was having a party. Could have done with a chair or stool instead of always sitting on the bed.
Keys were located in nearby retail outlet. No problem in collecting and returning them. Apartment was extremely clean, bed was very comfortable. Location was good in terms of transport and local facilities.

Good location with a bus stop right outside or two tube stops within walking distance. Seemed like a quiet and safe area. Close to a Sainsbury's and multiple spots for food, coffee or drinks.

IndiaThe utensils provided were not induction compatible. They replaced them after complaining but they did not ask me if they can access my room. No Cleaning mid stay (I stayed for 8 nights), when asked for it, the said they would charge an extra fee. No access to regular TV. There was a smart TV and you had to use your own credentials lo login into all the applications.

RomaniaThe apartment is very very small, there is no elevator, and the stairs are narrow. The apartment was not clean, there was a stocking hanging on the smoke detector, dirty linen, and dust on the floor. As we arrived late, the host responded the next day, and they’ve sent one more time the cleaning team. In conclusion, the apartment is not worth the money.

South AfricaThe property had no elevator and it was so difficult to get to the highest floor. There was a really loud alarm that went off randomly and it was way too loud and anxiety inducing. The stove did not work even after multiple contact with the hosts on how to work the stove. The water in the shower was also not that warm.
The property was pretty close to the bus stations and it was easy to get around.

United KingdomMy apartment was on the top floor of the building and there is no lift. This wasn't an issue for me, but it's worth bearing in mind if you're unable to climb several flights of stairs. The apartment is very compact, which again was fine for me and the price point was low in comparison to other London properties (even budget hotels), so I was very happy with the facilities all in all.
The apartment was clean, well kept and well stocked with toiletries, cleaning supplies etc. The facilities were good with a lovely comfy bed, fresh towels, and great bathroom and kitchen facilities. The hosts kept in touch frequently throughout the stay via messages which felt like I was in good hands. It was easy to pick up and drop off the keys at the start and end of my stay.

AustraliaIt was extremely annoying having to go an entire bus stop over with luggage. Might not seem like much but as an international traveller with a suitcase was a bit of a joke. Same as not having a drop box to leave the keys before leaving the place. Had to go drop it off at the same store. If you like to sleep in the dark this place isn’t for you. It has an annoying green light over the door you can’t turn off as an emergency light. Had to sleep with an eye mask. As well as blinds that don’t close all the way and let in all the light from the street. The mattress was pretty gross (cover peeling to reveal foam) had to remake the bed every day as the bedding wouldn’t stay put. No broom provided so I couldn’t sweep the floor. No cleaning service… for an 11 night stay. Bins weren’t easy to get rid of. Had to ask for permission every time (ended up timing it with cleaners cleaning rooms near me to dump my rubbish). No lift so very thankful I was only up 2 flights of stairs on room 15. With a 27kg suitcase it was a struggle. This is definitely not an accessible building. The kitchen had most stuff you needed same with the bathroom but again for the price it’s not exactly worth it. As a young woman (24) I did not feel safe in the area. And no extra locks on the doors made me feel on edge (only one lock with a key… no chain or dead bolt). Overall not the best place I’ve stayed in. If you want an updated looking room for a lower price in a dodgy neighbourhood 15 mins from the nearest tube station with buses that randomly cancel. This place is for you.

SpainDesapointed with the overall experience. You get there and some dude in the street tells you to go backwards to a small shop where another person handles you the key to the apartment. The apartment is not exactly in the best borrough of London. Then the place seems cute but is all a bit of a disapointment: you have a TV but no channels, no Netflix, nothing; you have a lamp but there is no bulb. The bed is extremely cheap and unconfortable. the toilet would not flush properly. There are some suspicious stains in the bathroom. I couldn't get out of there faster. Besides the apartment building is full of weid people and the cleaning props just lay in the hallway. It's a no-go
