Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomDon’t make the mistake we did of taking the train to Langbank station ( about a 20 minute walk from the hotel) and not having transport organised there as there is nothing at this station - no office and no taxis! We walked in the rain all uphill to the hotel. Not fun. Fortunately we were given early access to our rooms to get ready for the wedding. The rooms were fine but not spacious. They felt a bit tired with an iron burn on the carpet and a tatty cupboard under the washbasin in the bathroom. They were quiet but overlooked some machinery behind the hotel so no view at all. Breakfast was okay but I would have expected for the standard of property and the price at least the option of different eggs cooked freshly instead of scrambled eggs sitting in a heated dish.
Great views across the River Clyde. The wedding we attended at the hotel was lovely. The staff were all very friendly and organised a local taxi firm to take us to the airport the following day. Didn’t have the opportunity to use any of the hotel spa facilities unfortunately. Easy access from central Glasgow but transport all the way to the hotel is essential.

United KingdomWiFi was shocking, the spa facilities were not relaxing. Children screaming in the pool all day was not ideal, the outdoor jacuzzi is lovely but having to leave as soon as the bubbles turn off is really impractical and makes you feel like a conveyor belt queueing to wait for the light to turn off so you can all climb back in. The spa was a constant mess, and too many people for small facilities. Better management is required. The breakfast was really poor quality for £15pp.
Location was good, the rooms were really clean and the bed was lovely and comfortable. I had an amazing massage by a very friendly and knowledgable therapist.

United KingdomThe young blonde girl with bangs and her hair in a messy bun/ponytail working the breakfast shift in the restaurant had a major attitude problem and many people commented on it. She wasn’t kind, helpful, friendly or in any way useful and stamped her feet as she walked practically bashing people out of the way and making rude comments. No eye contact just rudeness. She ruined part of my stay and that was disappointing.
The property is absolutely gorgeous and a great escape from the city but not too far a drive. The vibe is nice. The food is great!

United KingdomThe breakfast was disappointing. The hot food was pre cooked and kept warm in large containers. So unlike in other establishments, where food is added, freshly cooked as needed, food had been cooked and stored in bulk.
Although it gave an outside appearance of being up market. The facilities were not as expected. The restaurant was on the top floor.I guess it was to get a good view of the golf course, but there were no lifts at all in the hotel. The room and bed were comfortable and the staff were helpful.

United KingdomWe paid to upgrade to a superior room . Bathroom was lovely but only difference and would def not pay again. Bed was so uncomfortable, 2 singles pushed together with each having individual mattress topper meaning you could feel dip in middle.
Spa facilities although should be monitored closer as towels lying everywhere taking up loungers and despite signs the hot tub had people drinking and were in it for hours

United KingdomIf we had known prior to booking that the Spa Treatments wouldn’t be available (fully booked in advance apparently) we might have considered somewhere else. But we did enjoy our stay considering. I would maybe suggest they keep a couple of slot times available for overnight guest, that way they have a chance to say yes or no.
The staff were amazing, especially the guys on the nightshift (Sunday 14th April) very accommodating, not only to us but we witnessed their interactions with other guests. Our room was amazing, room size, comfy bed and bathroom. The room view wasn’t the best but didn’t bother us, as we prefer our privacy anyway. I enjoyed the mystery of walking to find the spa, bar and restaurant - obviously won’t be to everyone’s taste. The Dram bar, WOW - to go down there and sit after your evening meal, was so relaxing and calming, could fall asleep the chairs were comfy. Fantastic Stay.

United KingdomThere are lots of stairs and no lifts. My elderly parents struggled a bit. We discovered you can ask for ground floor rooms at the back of the hotel but this was not clear initially. It was noisy, understandable to some degree as a wedding was on, but our rooms were on a corridor which was a thoroughfare to the bar/ restaurant/ spa. Music was quite loud and the kitchen fan could be clearly heard in room 64.
Staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The food was very good indeed. Rooms spacious and well appointed.

United KingdomOn arriving for lunch we were told the kitchen wasn't open until 1230 but the online booking system let me process a booking for 12pm so we had to wait, which wasn't so bad but when we did get seated at 1230, the host told us the lunch was included with the spa treatment but on checkout this wasn't the case, we were charged £20 for soup and a sandwich. The room we were in looked really nice at first glance but when you look past first impressions the room was dusty, wallpaper peeling away from the walls and the fabric on the bed base was all ripped at the bottom. For dinner, we had 3 courses, and the starter was really nice, but the main course was a real letdown. The burger was very bland, and the chips were very undercooked and hard. The cauliflower cheese was more water than sauce. The dessert saved the experience. The tv in the room had an option to see room service menus, but they wouldn't load, and parts that did were unreadable. I'm a bit disappointed, to be honest, as the one night stay cost over £600.
Loved the location, and the spa was amazing. The outdoor jacuzzi was a real highlight, and the view was spectacular. The treatments were great, and everything about the spa was super relaxing. The mattress on the bed was a dream to sleep on, and the rain fall showerhead was great. The creme brulee we had for dessert is quite possibly the best thing I've ever eaten, and I'd go back just for that.
