The kettle and coffee machine in the room are near impossible to fill with water without making a lot of mess.

Location for the Forest was good.

Our main issue was with the bed - the mattress was abysmal, we ended up huddled in the middle, as it sinks and rolls everyone into the middle of the bed. Slept terribly, because of this. With a decent mattress this would have been a pretty good place to stay On top of this, we didn't realise that the room is in this ground floor space, where you enter through a tiny door, as if this was previously a room for cattle back in the day - very small, and the light coming through the moth-eaten curtains at night, was also not great for sleeping. This isn't so much an issue, as should have been disclosed more evidently prior to the stay, if I had travelled by myself, I would not feel safe sleeping in this room.

The owners were very friendly and the room was very clean and neat. The breakfast was also great.

As with other places in the Forest there was no phone signal but one could use wifi. Our bedroom was small but the bathroom was commodious.

We travelled for a family party and the accommodation was near the venue. Lovely welcome, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, would recommend.

Room was very small. Traffic noise was very loud. Had to close windows, then it was to hot.

On arrival, we could not find anyone to check us in, despite the tea room door being unlocked! with no phone service in the area, we could not even ring for assistance, luckily, another regular guest arrived a while later and knew where to find the owners! The Room and bathroom are very small, no information on how to operate any of the appliances, the shower was very difficult to operate, as there was a rusty oddments tray right against the controls, the sink is only any good for rinsing your hands, impossible to wet shave, it's so small that when you turn on the tap. water cascades down the cabinet and this has started to delaminate due to water damage. The doors did not shut as they caught on the floor, which seemed to be lifting in places. The heating kept going off, with no instruction on the heating control on the wall, it was difficult to maintain an even temperature. When someone else drew off hot water, the water system in the cupboard, vibrated and made a terrific noise, luckily this only wen on for a few minutes.

The room was clean and appointed appropriately for the cost of the accommodation. Breakfast was included in the price and was a hearty breakfast. Pod coffee machine was a nice touch, instructions on how to use it would have been even better. Additional portable heater in the room was a god send.

Our room, while modern,was very very small..suitcase ..no room to open, nowhere for clothes or even put toiletries. Way to small and we're not huge. Lovely people though.

The room was very small. There was no dressing table or anywhere to sit and do hair and makeup. Only a tiny mirror. As we were going to a wedding this caused problems getting ready. Breakfast was awkward. We were given tiny cups and saucers and a tiny pot of coffee so had to keep asking for more. The staff were attentive but larger cups would be better. The tiny room was not worth what we had to pay.

The staff and the owners were all very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The room was very clean and obviously newly decorated. Good location. Large car park. We would return if they had larger better equipped rooms.

We loved our overnight stay at this property. The room was clean, tidy and well heated. Tv was provided with a SkyQ box and Netflix which was a bonus! Aside from the lovely modern interior and exposed beams, the highlight was the large bed, most comfortable stay we’ve had away from home. The Breakfast was a great fry up with tea and juice provided. Martin and his other wonderful staff were very welcoming and helpful. They provided a lovely stay. Thank you all!
