Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We didn't have breakfast but we did order from the lunch menu which was amazing, we all really enjoyed it. The location for us was great . The staff and management were really friendly and helpful

United KingdomWe had a box room. There was no one around to ask to be moved or return our money back. The room was so tiny we couldn't move. It was grubby. The bathroom was not nice. Tooth paste staines. The kettle had stagnet water in it. Covered in dust on the top. There was a clothes rail that leaned to the side when you tried to hang anything on it. A basket with coffee strips, but empty packets tea bags were not in individual bags just left there. No milk. They asked us to come back when we first checked in because they had no idea we were coming. They didn't check their bookings through booking.com. They said they needed to clean our rooms. The only thing that was clean in that rooms was the bedding on the bed. It was clean. We tried to complain. They didn't reply to email. When they finally got back to us, they said we asked for a double bed and 1 single. We said we didn't, we booked for a family room. That wasn't a family room. What was advertised isn't what we had. They did move us to another room. Which was cleaner a and a lot bigger. With a wardrobe, chair, dressing table. We tried to leave the keys somewhere, but wasn't anywhere to leave them. Had to look around to find someone in the restaurant part, door was open a man was there, but totally ignored us so keys were left on the counter. We did see some of the staff during the 4 days we were. They were nice. But you didn't see anyone when you needed them. We thought the first room must have been staff rooms! Certainly wasn't family room. If anyone books this hotel. Make sure you get a proper family room. They advertise a family of 518ft, the shoe box room was about 144ft. Big difference. The second room was better. Not over clean. They could do with a deep clean. Would we go back.. No I don't thinks so.

United KingdomI booked well in advance via booking.com, when I got there they had no email notification from booking.com apparently. I had booked a double room with a private shower. There was no rooms available like that as all booked up. They had a single available, shared bathroom, so I had to take that. With a refund to accommodate the room. The room was basic, no coffee and tea facilities which would have been useful and the blinds don't cover the window, so daylight in the morning. They could do with getting blinds that fit the window or decent curtains. The mattress wasn't brilliant, a cheap springy one. I don't know why they had a portable clothes rail, the room had a mini built in wardrobe that would have been ample along with the double chest of drawers. They had a sign on the entrance, 4 in a bed runner up...it must have been better at one point, I believe it's changed hands many times. Saying that, the lady who dealt with me was polite and very apologetic and helpful. So was the lady who worked the bar later that evening.

United KingdomBeing on a main road the noise of cars passing and stopping at the traffic lights kept me awake, the windows were closed but don't think they had double glazing, also I could here the music from the pub across the road, think they had a private function on that night. It also didn't help that there was a group of lads staying the same night and they finally quietened down at 4.45am :-( The milk for the tea in the morning was out of date and could have done with a spoon to stir the sugar.
The room was basic but pleasant and had our own bathroom and the bed was comfortable and clean.

United KingdomInteresting set up. but failed to deliver what I expected. I had booked for B&B, but was informed the breakfast part was not available. Some challenges with room caused by a previous guest. The bar/grill/restaurant was not open Sunday night. I had been expecting to sample more from the great menu. I wish the new owners great fortitude, and hope they can turn things around in a positive way.
Ideal location for first part of visit to AFC Telford United Football Club. They won 6-2. Good luck in the playoffs. Great welcome from staff. Well done. Excellent Lamb Shank on Saturday night.

United KingdomI booked 2 rooms and prepaid for both of my rooms. On the day of arrival I checked to see if there was a time restriction for check in. The hotel had cancelled my booking. I called them and they informed me they had cancelled my booking as they had no rooms available, despite the fact I had already paid for it. I asked what I was meant to do as we were travelling with children and were already half way there and they simply said I had to contact Booking.com. not impressed at all.

United KingdomI turned up and the en-suite double room I had booked didn’t exist. I had to book another hotel. I am writing this poor review because I have messaged both booking.com several times and the hotel and have received no reply. I paid up front for the room and no one seems to want to communicate with me about getting my money back. I will be using other sites in the future to book my accommodation if no one bothers to get back to me after this message!
