How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Glass coffee table needs a bit of maintenance done as the screws were a bit loose making it wobble quite a bit. That's the only complaint I have and that is pretty much nitpicking
Lovely apartment, duplex with large lounge & kitchen area on the lower floor, and a bathroom and large bedroom on the upper floor. Convenient and clean.

The décor was eye-catching, it was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, big bath towels and such a comfortable bed! Great location with secure parking, we wish we'd book for longer.

Other guests/ residents (not sure which) were quite noisy going up and down the stairs. Mot the fault of the property but maybe a few reminder signs would help?
Lovely decor, plenty of space in the rooms. Easy to find. No problems with the under car park. Good location for where we needed to be. Clear instructions on how to get in. Would return.

Would have liked a cafetiere but that's my only small suggestion for an improvement.
Clean, fresh and fun decor with comfortable beds and sofas. Great location, very short walk to The Deep and loads of really great restaurants and independent shops. Really nice place to be, would recommend Hull and particularly this accommodation for its great location.

Great property, two floors, big living room/kitchen area on the ground floor, and nice bedroom & big bathroom on the first floor. Everything was clean, we had enough kitchenware to make food, there was a washing machine and a dishwasher as well. Heating was also available. The area is great, close to the restaurants and nice streets for walking.

No blind or door curtain in living room. One of our party fell asleep for a while on the sofa as watching tv but woke up with it being so light. No rubber mat in bath or grab rail and it was slippery when having a shower.
Great location near marina and old fruit market area with pubs, restaurants and shops within walking distance Easy keyless entry to the free secure gated car park and apartment. Have stayed a few times before and also recommended it to friends.

It would have been perfect if a few coffee capsules for the coffee machine and a few laundry detergent capsules were available. Also the washing machine door seal needed a good clean before we felt happy to use it. No problem to us but feel the owner should know the bathroom fan never came on.
🔹perfect location, so many great bakeries, bars, restaurants and pubs close by 🔹 very comfy bed and quiet at night for a good sleep 🔹very handy to have secure parking 🔹great to have a washing machine and clothes horse as we were on a road trip 🔹appreciated the dishwasher and tablets
