It wasn’t easy to plug in a charger. Had to move furniture. Entry system can be tricky although may have been my misdial.

Central. Plenty of hot water and easy to adjust heating in the room. The shower was simple to adjust to suitable temperature. Comfy bed and pillows.

There was no milk to have with the tea and coffee. Heating wasn't working when we arrived but was fixed during the evening.

The cost could have been cheaper for just a double room. The other double room looked much bigger and a lot nicer than ours, not sure if they were the same price though.

Unfortunately the room number wasn't given so needed to contact reception to get a room number. Not the easiest as it was for my son who has non Verbal/ social anxiety disorder issues and I was being taken into hospital at the time for heart issues and had to call reception to sort this out before I could go and he could get in.

Distance to a friend's house was amazing, it was simple and easy to book.

New lock system in place had a few teething issues. The property isn't manned so when issues arose it meant having to wait to get through to someone on the phone.

Rooms were nicely decorated and cosy. Bed and bedding super comfy, had a great night sleep. Great value for money. It was ideal for our stay and we would definitely stay again if in the area.

The pilllow wasn't very comfy, too tall. And there was no breakfast.

Very quiet and peaceful, nice and safe location, spotless. The building looks nice and the room seems newly renovated. There was a code to enter the door so there was no danger of forgetting the key and being locked out. Staff is easily reachable and very nice.

The locks had changed so the instructions in the former day's email were wrong, and the reception were not fully advised. I couldn't lock my room door and when I told reception they said it didn't matter because I was alone in the building!!!! A person of nervous disposition might have found this intimidating.

Was misinformed when I booked. Rang and told them I wanted double bedroom. Was told to book on line and when I went to the hotel it was a twin room and I was then told I couldn’t have a double room. Very unprofessional. If you couldn’t accommodate me in a double then don’t take my money and give me twin. Had a terrible nights sleep and last time I slept on a small bed was probably 40 plus years ago. Also had cobwebs in the room. Towel was dirty and bathroom ceiling had a leak.

Room 5: There’s single rooms and then there’s TINY, basement rooms. Bizarrely two bedside tables yet the smallest single bed I’ve ever slept in (3ft width?) Surely better to lose a cabinet and make the bed bigger? No mirror in the bathroom and v minimal natural light. VERY small room - someone tall or with mobility issues would really struggle - steps down to bathroom and sunken bath requires acrobatics to use ( bath attachment shower cannot be used standing up due to low ceiling). No lidded bin in my bathroom. No bin at all in room 4’s bathroom ( 2 room group)Both rooms only had soap and shampoo. No body wash, lotion or conditioner in either room ( perhaps due to our early check in?) Both rooms smelled extremely musty - possibly down to new carpet?? So much so I needed to buy air freshener. Money has obviously been spent making the rooms look nice and decorative - but short on practicalities eg. a random display shelf has been fitted on the wall in room 5 yet not one place to hang up a towel!! (In fairness Room 4 (triple room) was more spacious/ less claustrophobic and did have mirror in bathroom.) I’ve never, ever seen unwrapped tea bags left out for grabs on an open tray in a communal area - just as you walk in the door. These were presumably to be used with my room kettle which was plugged into an extension lead which dangled freely in the air over the open bin!

Wanted to be positive as staff were really lovely; also we were kindly allowed an early check in and owner came round to fix a ( minor) door lock problem within 10 minutes. Also we had been accommodated at short notice - so possibly many issues are teething problems with the refurb of this building which will hopefully get sorted out. The communal ground floor room with sofa, books and coffee machine ( though no bin for pods) is a nice touch. Room 4 had a good power shower. System for accessing hotel is via lock boxes but is explained well and clearly.
