I stayed in the lovely Riverside Lodge with my partner and we had a wonderful stay. Very clean and lovely room and also cosy. No qualms about the facilities whatsoever. We had dinner at The Cowshed which was fabulous as well.

We stayed in the Riverside Lodge. This isn’t about what we didn’t like, we’re campers so make do. However, it was the very small things. As it’s self catering, there’s a 2 ring hob, but one pan, lucky there’s a microwave. Also, there’s loads of wall space, it would have been good to have one shelf along the kitchen wall to put some supplies or even put the toaster as there was very little worktop space, and why the massive kettle tray taking up space just a kettle would do. Also, we couldn’t fathom out how to work the bathroom extractor or it wasn’t working. But none of this marred the fantastic experience. Wish we’d have stayed longer actually. Also, this just applies to the Riverside Lodge, when you stay in a lodge with hot tub, you expect a bit of privacy, it would have been a bit more considered if there was a fence/hedge or something alongside the exposed terrace edge where the hot tub is so other guests can’t see you if they walk past. There is a path that can be used by other guests staying at the lake cabins whereby they can walk by your lodge and look in, perhaps it’s being planned for the future?

The self catering lodge was very clean and comfortable, almost looked new but was made aware it had been there a few years. Hot tub was pre lit and prepared for use, the view was brilliant of the river, a brilliant find.

Less pillows and cushions (there were eight!!) on my bed and a better duvet instead. The breakfast, though delicious was too big - two of everything is too much. Perhaps there could be two 'full English' - standard and large.

Room was clean and beautiful. Meals were excellent. The staff in all locations were helpful, friendly and knowledgable and everything was clearly marked and set out.

Paying extra for breakfast when you pay £300+ for a room is comical for the sake of £30 people would leave feeling a little more valve for money. Being told you have to then pay extra for breakfast seem abit much if the room was cheap then it would be expected.

Everything over all was great, great set up all round. Staff on Christmas Day were fantastic.

Ignorance on my part, I hadn't appreciated how far away from the main site the shepards huts were. I had booked late and these were the only available accomadation. Great quality accomadation but as far from the main site WiFi wasn't good, not optimal for working or getting to and from the main facilities for a business trip.

Really great resturant for dinner and breakfast, amazing dinner in the Cowshed. Very helpful staff. Quirky place with interesting accomadation albeit not optimal for my needs this time, but I would certainly return.

Very beautiful area and surroundings. Nice restaurants on site. Staff are super friendly. We were greeted in the room with a beautiful birthday card for my son and a special sweet treat. My son was very happy and really felt he was special on his birthday.

Nothing to dislike. Was perfect for a short break. Always check and book directly with the Hotel rather than using an agent. You get a better deal.

Really nice setting and the room was great. Checked in late as was travelling with work, did not use many of the facilities but the setting is really nice and the facilities were extensive. The room I booked had a hot tub, but due to late booking and check in the room wasn’t fully prepared. So they upgraded me to a better room by a lake. Would definitely return either with work or with the family. There is nothing comparable in the area.

We booked on a room only basis. Met family in The Granary Kitchen for breakfast. Staff were pleasant but every cooked breakfast was served cold. Will not be using this facility again.

Amazing setting and lovely selection of restaurants, bars and accommodation. Excellent service and attention to detail from the staff. Loved the rituals toiletries in the rooms!
