Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

RussiaIf you have any mobility restrictions please keep in mind that there is no elevator in the hotel. Doors are thin and if your neighbors are loud you can hear everything. Air conditioner require cleaning.

United KingdomSmall things, blind in our room was a bit broken and I ordered a Gin and Tonic in the bar and it came with no ice or lemon/lime, so that was a little disappointing.
Location right in the heart of Bloomsbury, theatre district within walking distance, British Museum around the corner; very nice decor in the hotel , bedroom was very comfortable, very comfortable beds! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

United KingdomThe hotel lacked atmosphere. The bar area was deserted late afternoon and when we returned from the theatre. We had to switch the lights on ourselves as it got dark. No staff around. Tables not cleared and we noticed room service trays not taken away. For the price this was disappointing.

Czech RepublicThe room (townhouse, on the ground floor) felt very small. Definitely not 21 m2 as advertised. It had a weird stuffy smell. Also you could not open the door to the bathroom fully. The entry part of the room had a light that you could not turn off or turn on (very odd). Also you can hear every move from the room above you. The room also had water leak marks on the ceiling.
The staff were amazing, very attentive and nice people! The hotel itself is very nice, the common areas have very nice decor. The breakfast was very good, some people are complaining here that they don't get the full English breakfast but the continental breakfast is more than enough, good pastries and fruit selection.

United KingdomBreakfast was disappointing as the pastries were stale. We also had an afternoon tea at the hotel which was average.I had emailed my vegetarian preferences which were not noted although remedied by a Brie sandwich. We were the only people having tea so I guess that contributed to the lack of atmosphere. The toilet seat was unattached in our room, which we reported at the end of our stay as only staying one night. The staff did say we should have let them know asap.
The location was great. The Bloomsbury suite was lovely. Plenty of space and quiet. The staff were polite and umbrella’s were greatly appreciated in the bad weather. There are nice areas to relax and the decoration is lovely. Complimentary soft drinks, water and coffee facilities were good in room.
