Immaculate hotel with excellent facilities. The hosts ( Julie & Alex) are incredibly friendly, and go out of their way to make sure you feel at home. Lovely freshly cooked breakfasts. The hotel is super clean, and the on-site parking and bar are real plus points. Location is ideal for all local attractions. Perfect place to stay in Scarborough. 👍

What wasn't there to like about this hotel. It exceeded all my expectations, you couldn't wish to meet a nicer couple, you didn't want for anything, room was spotless, lovely comfortable bed, best night's sleep I've had in ages, and the breakfast was outstanding.

I can't think of any negatives.

Julie and her husband Alex are really friendly and welcoming hosts. They both went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Hotel is spotless. Lovely big bedroom. Fantastic breakfast with lots of homemade extras. Alex is a great chef and therefore breakfast was a delight. Another bonus for me was free onsite parking. That is a bit of a luxury in Scarborough

Hosts were absolutely superb, cleanliness outstanding and a terrific hearty breakfast with lots of choice including some delicious home made produce. Really appreciated the little touches such as tea/coffee on arrival and the parting shortbread gifts. Would love to visit again and wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending to anyone wishing to stay in the North Bay Area (only a 5 min walk). Perfect for Scarborough Open Air Theatre. Top draw - 10/10

Nothing, everything was Absolutely brilliant.

PERFECT AND FANTASTIC in everyway, from the hosts to the breakfast, facilities, and location. Julie and Alex were the perfect hosts, so kind, helpful, and caring. Breakfast is the best we have ever had, cooked to perfection, served hot with plenty of choice. The room was absolutely lovely, so clean and decorated to a very high standard very comfortable bed and pillows with a brilliant bathroom with a very good shower. The hotel has a good bar and lounge area for chilling and relaxing. Free parking. I could write a full book on how brilliant this hotel is. The hosts Julie and Alex made our first stay so wonderful and memorable. We met them as strangers but left as such good friends. We are going back very soon.

Everything about the stay was exceptional. The hotel itself was great and almost unbelievably clean. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the breakfasts were remarkably good. All round great place to stay.

We received a lovely welcome on arrival and immediately felt very comfortable to be staying at the hotel. Julie and Alex are passionate and experienced hosts and provide a quality service, great breakfast, very clean and well equipped room and are always available for a chat. We highly recommend The Alexander Hotel for all these reasons and also a good location.

To be honest we were cold the heating came on 7 till 8 am in the morning and around 7.30 till 9.30 pm in the evening.it said in the hotel book to feel free to alter the heating control in your room but the only control was on the radiators and the heating wasn't on. Also in the book it said you wasn't allowed to bring your own food or alcohol in the rooms I have looked on booking .com and the hotel website and found no mention of that. I felt awkward because I had brought some alcohol. Don't like to break rules should really be on the websites.

The food was nice and it was spotlessly clean the owners were friendly and chatty obviously work hard and are proud of their hotel. To be fair the lady did say they are normally closed at this time of year. But on the positive when the heating was on it was great.
