How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Bar dudnt open till 3pm and arrived early so went to pub opposite instead

The room was very comfortable. Convenient parking at the hotel. All staff were lovely and helpful. The bar area was great for an evening drink and the breakfast was really good. Hotel was in a great location, very close to the main streets in Leam for shops and restaurants. Also very close to Jephson Park.

The fact that there is no proper coffee machine / coffee (Nescafé etc doesn’t count)
It is very conveniently located, quite comfortable. I would like to specifically mention Leah at reception, who went out of her way to help me find a hairdresser last minute, ever so kind and helpful. Also the gentlemen in the evening, at the reception and serving the bar were very nice, polite and helpful, I’m afraid I didn’t get their names but there were only 2 gents at the time.

There was noise from the pub across the road which was playing live music. Fortunately it didn’t go on too late so it didn’t stop us sleeping.
Perfect central location with on site parking. The room was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was exceptional- especially the fresh fruit salad.

Needed aircon in rooms.
Amazing location, clean hotel with parking. Lovely bar staff Mucktadir was very helpful and recommended a lovely selection of rosé wine with descriptions for each one.

Liked the fact car parking was available on site (albeit on a first come, first served basis as spaces quite limited), however not so keen on the £12 a night charge................. Considering the price of the room, disappointed absolutely no toiletries whatsoever provided
Ideal location right in the centre of Leamington Spa within very easy walking distance of all shops, bars, restaurants etc. Not so central however that it attracts any noise - in fact our room was extremely quiet which was superb. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Room was excellent - very spacious with two double beds, great bathroom with good shower, lots of storage and actually set apart from the other rooms in the hotel which also ensured we did not suffer with any noise. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of options - help yourself to cereal, yoghurt, fruit juices, toast but with cooked breakfast ordered and brought to your table.

Could not turn radiator down in room. Too hot so had to have window open then could hear traffic noise etc Bed was uncomfortable.
Location, friendly helpful staff. Nice little bar, lovely breakfast.

Receptionist who welcomed us was not very friendly. Room was stuffy and noise outside from pub opposite made it impossible to open the window at night. One bedside light did not work and despite reporting it it was not fixed.
Location. Character of the hotel was good. Good breakfast.

All the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. I am gluten free and have a smallish appetite. My breakfast was superb with the chef understanding my portion sizes on hot plates. All delicious and served with a smile. My husband had an equally excellent breakfast. Overall we were very well looked after. Our room was comfortable with all we needed. Location was perfect.
