Got our rooms wrong but sorted the mistake, however early check because of that.

Our bedroom 250 was a far far too warm . Unhealthy feeling to the point if it was a longer stay I would have asked to be moved . It was right above the spa area ie the sauna and steam room . We did have the windows open constantly and the air con was on most of the time but could not sleep with it on (noise of it ) the room just got too warm again as soon as it was switched off . One of the pillows was also in a terrible state not fit for purpose should just be binned . Apart from the room everything else was perfect . Service , food , cleanliness and the staff were friendly . I would suggest an iron in the room would be an advantage .

The marketing for the hotel praised the food. In fact the evening meal was terrible. The salmon was very dry and did not feel fresh. The chicken was dry. They also had a strict booking system. In fact we decided to eat at Wetherspoons up the road on the second evening - and in fact the food was better there! When we mentioned the problem to reception, we were told that the kitchen team were new!

A hotel which has clearly been expanded from an initial pub-type to a larger one. Breakfast was good. Location was OK for Blairgowrie - although there is not much in the town.

The SPA was always busy. We tried to book SPA treatments prior to our stay, but none were available. In fact the SPA was closed on the Monday, our first day. Dinner on our first night was a shambles as there was a shortage meals as listed on the menu. Breakfast on the Tuesday morning also suffered from a lack of choice. Due to the meal disasters, we discovered a great restaurant called Littles which, fortunately, was just across the bridge from the Hotel. We dined there instead of the Angus Hotel.

The pillows are not comfortable. An odd shape. I had issues with the tv not working. Took the remote down and left a note. Nothing happened so had to chase again the next day. The tv was then working but no remote was left in the room only some spare batteries. The coffee machine in the breakfast room is not even drinkable. It’s a shame as the breakfast is very good.

Nice room and shower. Shower better than last stay. Rooms cleaned well. Good breakfast. We arrived late due to flight delays and someone was at the desk as we were worried we wouldn’t be able to get our room cards.

Staff were overly stressed and one waitress was literally running through the dining room; Two of dishes were cold on arrival and one main was overcooked and not as described.

Room was really small for 2 people would have been better as a single but everything was clean and perfect so no faults there. Even removing a chair from the room would have gave us more space. But this would not effect me going again ⁰

No WiFi in the room I stayed in and no cooked breakfast until 8am and was only told you could access the restaurant for a continental from 7am on our last night otherwise was a perfect stay

Room was cold on a night but when I told reception they put a heater in the room then there was no issue. Loved the pool and spa access
