The downstairs room was smaller than expected.

I had booked two rooms. one for my brother and one for myself. The rooms were very clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly. The food at The Horse was exceptional. The bathroom in the superior room was huge with a lovely power shower.

No storage space for any clothes if staying any longer than overnight. Bathroom was very small, fittings seemed to be crammed in.

Room clean and tidy and wax we were only staying 1 night to room was ok but any longer and would have been disappointed

Damp patch on ceiling needed painting over, flooring was lifting away in the bathroom and there were a few cleanliness issues in the bathroom as well, there was some mould /mildew in the shower and the shelf above the sink wasn’t clean. The bed frame stuck out a bit and I caught my leg a few times walking past this and the chair. The pillows were a bit lumpy. These issues wouldn’t put me off staying again however.

Location, price and the food at the Pub and the staff were very polite and helpful.

Unfortunately no hot water to the sink in the bathroom.

The rooms were a little way away from the pub so very quiet/ Food was excellent. Staff were very friendly especially Lisa the Manager. Very busy

At first, room was very cold. We were given a heater which quickly warmed the room.

Nothing we loved everything- if we had to pick anything all we would say was the toilet roll holder was quite rusty and the mirror but other then that no fault at all

Comfortable, well equiped rooms with coffee machine, hairdryer, iron. Friendly staff who really went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was 5 star ⭐

The pillows were not quite the same standard as the mattress, although I am being probably being picky. It is a little further out from Loughborough than our previous stays (visiting our daughter at the university), so she could not get out to us without a car.

Room was well-appointed - really comfortable bed, TV was easy to use and the coffee machine was a nice touch. Shower was excellent - powerful, hot and a choice of hand-held or 'rainfall'. The pub provided a nice environment to have a drink before/after going out for the evening. The room was far enough from the pub to avoid any noise.

Very minor and it wouldn’t put me off, but if your staying in one of the ground floor rooms you can here people walking around in the rooms above as the floors are timber. Bit of creaking but that is the only minor fault I can find. Loved the stay overall.

Lovely property and staff. Very friendly. Breakfasts are incredible.

Not really a dislike but just for info to other travellers that orders were taken for dinner at the pub until 8pm, so worth phoning ahead or finding an alternative option if you are going to be arriving later than 8pm.

Comfortable accommodation situated in the grounds of the pub - far enough away not to be disturbed by noise, close enough to enjoy their great food. Excellent breakfast and really friendly staff. We had a great stay.

Small things only, no biscuits in the room, would be nice to have fruit juice with breakfast. But these are purely putty’s cherry on a good cake at an excellent price
