The guests on the next table felt the need to use foul language in every sentence, in loud voices. Any case this is no fault of the inns and staff did ask them to stop, we eventually moved tables.

Staff so polite, nothing too much trouble. Cleanliness was to a high standard and the room was very comfortable. Decor was in keeping with the age of the Inn. We would definitely stop again and hope the idiots on the next table don't come back hehe.

The fact that we couldn't stay longer time wise!

The breakfast was superb. The Bear exceeded all my expectations. I was last here in 1976!. Every detail had been scrupulously chosen to enhance the "Bear experience" from the linen to the toiletries to the wines and the meal. I will definitely drive out of my way to stay here again.Well done!!

My only gripe, just a little one though , was the plug near a mirror to dry my hair , was in a corner and it wasn’t well lit , only lamp light . So a brighter light would have been perfect .

We loved the outside it was very welcoming, and the room was newly refurbished. Gorgeous bathroom and comfy bed with quality sheets . White fluffy towels too!

I can't think of anything. I absolutely loved my bathroom and soaps.

Nothing: it was perfect!

Everything was brand new and the very best quality. Great attention to detail. The team were hugely accommodating when our plans changed and we needed to bring our son for one night. Also very kind when we brought two dogs: they changed my room with minimum fuss: really lovely people.

We were locked out of the hotel on our return on the second night. There was a number to call but it wasn’t answered on several tries so we were waiting outside for a little while. Luckily we didn’t have to wait for anyone to let us in as there was a key code to punch in that we were given on getting through to someone. We were not aware of this and it might have been good to know on our arrival and checking in.

Lovely refurbishment. Beds were very comfy and staff were nice.

Had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Bear Inn, decor was as good if not better than the pictures. Staff were friendly, efficient and could not do enough for you. Had an evening meal at the restaurant which was excellent accompanied by a very pleasurable Sancerre! Will definitely revisit!

Can’t think of anything

Everything was brand new so be hard to find fault. Stylishly designed rooms and public spaces. We had a suite which meant our daughter had her own space and she loved it. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, right down to the lovely cleaners. Will definitely stay again

We stayed on the 2nd night it had opened, absolutely beautiful revamp, so much care has been taken in everything, the place was buzzing with locals and everyone was so lovely. We didnt eat in the restaurant but had a few drinks before heading to our room. Unfortunately, their system hadn't linked properly with booking.com's system and the room we booked (which had a bath) wasn't available, it wasnt really explained to us well but the shower was still such a treat after a few nights camping and they charged us the right price when we checked out. Huge beds which were so comfy, great rain shower and had a little coffee from the machine before bed. Breakfast was also amazing and huge! We would definitely come back here if we are in the area, well done guys
