Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot so much didn't like, but we were not informed of the time of the breakfast being served the following morning, there was no information regarding the time of breakfast in the room either. Admittedly being in a rush to get to the wedding i didn't ask as to what time breakfast was served. Therefore we arrived at breakfast 10 minutes after they had stopped serving, luckily for us a lovely lady (didn't get her name) explained that we could have the continental as that hadn't been cleared away, which we did, she then informed me that she would have a look as to what she could serve in the way of a cooked breakfast, after a few minutes she said luckily for us that she would be able to cook us a full English breakfast. Rooms could do with a little updating, quite a high step into the bathroom (room 5) word of advice if staying in this room it is at the front of the hotel and we got woken up at 6am on a Saturday morning by a lorry which was delivering to the supermarket opposite, the noise of the trolley and metal cages kept us awake for a while....not the hotel's fault though. The carpet on the staircase could do with either being renewed or a good shampoo clean
Convenient to the location where the wedding we were attending was held also reasonably priced

Friendly & helpful staff, had an issue with the room not being the one we had booked but was all sorted out the next morning. Nice breakfast. Good location for attending wedding nearby.

United KingdomOnly drawback was that the hot water in my room (both basin and shower) took a very long time to get hot. But it was fine once it got there (probably a long way from the boiler) and there were no other issues.
A lovely traditional pub with B&B — my room was clean and comfy, the staff were friendly and the food was delicious! Excellent location too, just off the main road (A40 / M50) in a lovely little village with a general store, post office and laundrette within walking distance, and just a short distance from awesome Raglan Castle (a must-see!). Many thanks — I would highly recommend the Beaufort to others and would be very happy to stay again!

United KingdomA greater choice of options at breakfast would have been welcome, I have a memory of salmon and scrambled eggs in the past which was fine. Parking could be problematic and swifter service in the bar would have been appreciated.
Company, sensible room, good evening meals. Everyone very friendly and approachable.

United KingdomThe room was compact, but that’s fine as we were staying one night. If you were staying longer, it wouldn’t be problematic if you are tidy. The decor inside the room does show wear and tear, but that’s to be expected. The only thing I will say is that some of the skirting boards/pipe plumbing in the room could do with a wipe down, and also the ledge of the bath panel could do with a clean as it’s stained where water has marked it. But all in all it’s a decent place to stay and we would stay again if in the area.
It was conveniently located in the village of Raglan, and only around 10 mins from a wedding venue we were attending the day of check out. The Staff were welcoming, and were able to accommodate us for dinner on the day of check in. Dinner finishes at 8.30pm, and we arrived shortly after and the staff were able to ask the kitchen if we were able to be served to which they agreed. (They were still serving other diners). The breakfast was good and the quality of the bacon was noted. I had a hairdresser arriving on the Sunday morning, and the staff on service let us borrow a chair from inside to make life easier for her. The Staff had also let us organise a late check out (12.30) at the time of booking which was really helpful.

United KingdomThe small room was very overpriced for what we got, the room itself was fine but not worth £100 that we were charged, probably around £70 would be more realistic.
The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, breakfast very good, cooked to order. Pleasant property,

United KingdomDuvet cover was too big for duvet and we both kept getting knotted up...... Very restless night because of this. Also, couldn't open bedroom window. Porridge in tub wasn't very brilliant. Maybe hot water from the machine wasn't hot enough??? Plenty of other cereal available so it wasn't a problem.
Excellent fried breakfast . Bacon was good quality as was the gluten free roll.( They are normally like cardboard!) Lovely creamy yoghurt. Reception said there would be continental breakfast but there were no cold meats or cheese?? Maybe the word continental should not be used to describe what was available. We had enough to eat so it wasn't a problem.
