Food was excellent , staff were polite and responsive to our needs, location was lovely and room was very comfortable. Everything you would want from country stay, me and my wife will be revisiting in very near future.

I might’ve been the one who got the short straw and got the disabled toilet. Space is good but I found the floor a bit dirty when I had a shower. would’ve preferred a walk-in shower but it’s most likely everything else was fully booked.

As always the food in the restaurant was amazing, can’t ever fault the food or drink!

No improvements needed, the staff excelled to make the stay a pleasure.

The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. The atmosphere was welcoming and staff were personable and always willing to help. Breakfast were excellent and the gourmet evening meals were delicious and plentiful with a lot of choice.

funny noise from the loo after I flushed it in the morning. my wife, who has a keener sense of smell than I have, could smell something on the sheets (dry cleaning??) a workman parked a van outside our bedroom in the morning and was coming and going, so had to keep the blind shut

Room was well decorated with a good sized double bed. Shower was hot and strong. Room was quiet (in a separate block at the back.) Excellent supper in the pub that evening. Pleasant atmosphere. the garden looks a good space too but the weather was a bit too cold for us. Breakfast the next day was tasty, nicely cooked (not greasy, eggs with runny yolks, bacon lean etc.) and plentiful. And both accomodation and food were good value.

there was nothing we didn’t like, but they could have used some mould cleaner in the shower, otherwise it was very clean, they could put a plug beside the bed,

It was very hard to contact the hotel by phone. It took four calls despite leaving messages asking for a call back.

The food was goad as was the atmosphere. Staff were helpful.

Little more space in bathroom to put your toiletries and a magnifying mirror would have helped :)

I had a ground floor room with roller blind at window. This meant that I had to keep the blind down even when it was light as people walk right past the window. We had booked a table for dinner several weeks earlier but were given a table apart from the main restaurant.

The shower in our room stayed scolding and couldn't be controlled, we were unable to use it. We informed the staff when we left.

We had Room 7 which was significantly larger than our previous stay. The room was well equipped and very comfortable. The dinner was a step up from the last time we stayed; to which we passed onto the staff, and the breakfast is always very good.

After pub bar shuts, there’s quite a lot of noise from outside in the car park. The pub does ask people leaving to be quiet but it seems quite a few patrons have little consideration for those residents needing to get to sleep.

Comfortable clean room, excellent food and friendly staff, a great place to stay. Breakfast was absolutely superb, absolutely first rate and the service is top notch too.

Bathroom ventilaton needs improving which will sort out the mould on the sealant & paint peeling on the shower area ceiling

Room 3 in the courtyard was excellent & totally suitable with our Labrador. Room was perfectly adequate & nice & warm. Shower cubicle was a touch small although my 6+ foot hubby managed but ventilation fan needs to be improved… great value for money though & restaurant food was exceptional x

it was a shame the pub closed early, as with traffic accident did not get there until 22.00 and the pub closed around 20.00. Bless her the lady that called us said she would stay on for us. staff were really lovely.

The room was cold the bath waste didn't work and there was no hot water in the bathroom sink. A small fridge would be useful for milk etc for a cup of tea.

Breakfast was OK. Could of be better with a larger choice.
