An attractive old coaching inn. Room was very spacious and clean. Bed linen was of high quality and bed was very comfortable. Amenities were of high quality. Location was excellent although only realistically accessible by car. Food & wine in the restaurant was was very high quality and creatively presented. Served by friendly staff.

Very clean and modern in room we stayed but love the character also of the pub. Breakfast - great eggs Benedict. Very friendly staff. And room very quiet even though think hotel was full.

United KingdomOur room was above the pub and near two staircases so it was a little noisy but then it was a Saturday night so can’t really complain too much, especially as we were probably the only people staying with work to go to the next day😔
Didn’t have breakfast as off early. Had dinner in the bar area as opposed to restaurant but same food and all was very good, very well presented and tasty. (Tip if you opt for beer battered haddock and prefer it skinless the chef(s) will remove it if you ask them to).

United KingdomI would have preferred a softer mattress on the bed or perhaps a mattress topper would be a great option. A lower vanity mirror would be better as I found this too high to be able to style my hair sat down. I have mobility issues and I know they have other rooms which could suit me better however as the hotel is very popular there wasn’t one available.
Very traditional and historical property well presented. Parking good. Great food. Our room was very spacious.
