The food and pub were excellent. Think quaint English vibes for the accommodation on the exterior with modern and super clean interiors. Outstanding food. Best meal I’ve had in a long time - still thinking about the crème brûlée. Superb service in the hotel and the pub.

Only thing my mum had trouble with was the bathroom back-light didn't turn off, so it kept waking her up. She's very sensitive to light. But she said the bed was extremely comfortable.

What a wonderful place and kind staff. I booked two rooms, the Super Duper room being for my poorly mum. What can I say except....stunning! I really can't thank you enough for making my last trip with my mum very special.

The dining area initially seemed quite noisy, although it quietened down and the setting was very atmospheric. We had no complaints about the bedroom, which was very cosy. It would however have been helpful to have a small unit next to the bed on either side.

The location was lovely and the room was very cosy. We were particularly impressed with the generously proportioned bathroom. (I have a dodgy knee and am wary of slipping, but the shower was very easy to step into and use.) All the staff were friendly and helpful and everything was well-organised. We had dinner near the bar and it initially seemed noisy, but it soon quietened down and our evening was very pleasant. The hotel was easy to get to by car and I'd recommend it for a romantic night away. However, if you wanted to stay for longer you'd have to venture a bit further afield, as the village is very small (I guess that's part of its charm though).

Rooms were different than expected this time. Very quiet last time. Above the bar area and breakfast event area this time. After our holiday we were expecting the last rooms we had but it’s not a big deal. Will definitely be back.

2nd stay. We just traveled back from holiday and needed a 3 day stay over. First time was definitely quieter haha. Food was amazing 5 star!!

Reception was a little walk away from room. A little walk if disabled.

We booked a disabled room and it was in a sort of stable block on ground level. The bed was very comfortable with crisp white linen. Fantastic large shower room. Easy parking outside disabled room. Pretty little village with nice pubs, We were visiting family so didn’t eat in the restaurant but it looked very nice.

Nice pleasant buildings. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The staff found out that we were staying for our interest in the history linked to Vincent motorcycles and upgraded us to the Vincent suite which was a real treat. Food in the restaurant is top class.

The rooms were super cosy! The rooms were so cute and the restaurant was outstanding! We loved how cute the area was! We travelled for a family wedding from Glasgow and we were well looked after for our 2 nights. Reception staff lovely and helpful!

No shower in the room. Breakfast service at the Ostler was very slow, taking over an hour to get our breakfast. We had missing items, no cutlery and the wrong food order. Not good.

WiFi speed could have been better. Difficult to work when internet constantly buffering. WiFi free but would prefer to pay and get a better service.

Stayed in the Super Doper room which was very spacious/comfortable. Good choice of breakfasts at the Oyster restaurant and dinner in the pub itself was excellent (you do have to book no matter what day you come as it's very popular and once you've eaten there you will know why) - I have stayed here several times on business and will be back again in the new year.
