The only thing that stopped us having a brilliant nights sleep was the noise from the street below. We seemed to be close to a venue that was playing ridiculously loud music and had a crowd of merry people outside our window who were being very loud until past midnight. This was not our hotel's fault at all, but in future we would request a room at the back of the property.

We were really happy with our room which was a superior king. The furnishing and bed were brilliant, lovely luxurious shower and no internal noise whatsoever from other rooms. The staff were so friendly and helpful and our breakfast was fantastic, served in a lovely upstairs private dining area.

Nothing, it’s exactly what you would expect from a town centre pub.

A vibrant town centre pub, with really lovely, helpful staff. Smashing breakfast (made to order). Car park to rear.

The stairs up to the bedrooms are the only downside. Unfortunately there is no lift. For now though we can still manage the stairs .

The food here is excellent , large portions of good wholesome food . Our room was warm and comfortable though a little old fashioned its suits us. It is after all a 17th century Inn. The bathroom and soft towels were lovely and clean , we’d like to return again very soon.
