Unfortunately, there is currently no chef so there was no breakfast or dinner available in the hotel. I ate in another hotel a few metres away, which was decent. There are places to buy breakfast and coffee in the town, so not a massive problem.

Friendly, helpful host. Hotel is in a convenient location close to the town centre. Room was clean and bed comfortable.

Check in bit confusing due to card details no fault of hotel and sorted quickly No breakfast😭 ...(we did know after we booked) View from room ...mmm 😕 no view just a couple of brick walls 😧 Hanging /hooks & shelf space limited Fan in bathroom very loud 🙈 Blinds on window didn't work Room was never "made up" ..but prob if we saw someone we could have asked 😊 ...and we only had 2 towels 🙈 Very Quiet in bar Wanted to play pool at 10.10 pm on a Friday night told sorry no ...girl was lovely & chatty....but she deffo wanted to shut up early 😔we did buy one drink. Then 2 other people did come in and she hurried them along too😕 ...i get it if no one is in but we would have bought few more drinks and played 2/3 games of pool .. But these details (for me mind) are just small things ...

Room at the front facing the road. No double glazing so was very aware of road noise. Hot spell of weather, so a fan would have been appreciated.

Our room was very clean and comfortable and the landlord and landlady, welcoming. The hotel is ideally located for exploring Dumfries & Galloway. Buses to Dumfries, Girvan and Wigtown leave from just down the road. The pub also does tasty pizzas in the evening

I spent a Friday night there, so just a wee bit loud when folk were leaving...

This hotel is a cosy, clean place if you're travelling and need an overnight stay. There is a lovely big bar/restaurant downstairs. So keep this in mind if you just want to sleep. The noise is low and acceptable.. The room was small but I can assure you comfy.. The mattress and pillow... Bliss...

Thé staff were truly helpful and welcoming. The rooms cosy and clean. The decor was panacheful and pleasing. The location ideal, facing Queen Street but with stunning views out back. I love this place.
