Nothing - we really loved everything. If I was to make one observation it would be that the chairs in the living room were a little low but that’s just our opinion, it didn’t make them uncomfortable just a little bit of thought to get back out of them lol

The Boathouse is stunning. We loved the upside down aspects of it as it made for beautiful views from the large living room window. The house was spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable. Absolutely everything apart from your own food is supplied for you which is fabulous. Loved it and would highly recommend it 😊.

The house is really beautiful and so well decorated and furnished, you feel comfortable. The location is awesome, you can watch the rabbits at breakfast and enjoy the view. It is a 25-minute walk to the sea and you can even watch dolphins in addition to seals. It was an unforgettable stay.

Couch could perhaps be replaced soon, but understand furniture can wear during a season and will probably be already in the plan to deal with it as everything else was so good.

Spotlessly clean, well appointed property in a very quiet country location. This unusual property is in a small group of houses in a farming area. Quirky design solutions make it spacious and airy. Having two showers, one over bath and one free standing, and with each on separate floors gives choice and ease for family use. The beds are top notch and slept very well. There is private parking and a small garden area adorned with cleverly painted stones and pebbles which also feature in the interior design - someone is very talented! A seating option outside is a small wall which was a lovely spot for a cuppa morning or evening. Having the living room upstairs gave full advantage to the view of surrounding farmland with the added bonus of great sunsets, and even a chance to view horses being exercised in the nextdoor yard. A great choice for a peaceful holiday away from all the noise and bustle of a town. A short drive or 45 min walk takes you to Catterline village which has a beautiful cove with jetty which was a delight on a sparkling early morning exercise walk. Highly recommended property.

Loved the building and location. The rooms were warm and cosy which is important in the winter. The Kitchen had everything, I needed. The lounge was very comfortable. Best of all was the supremely comfortable bed and great bathrooms. A real home away from home.

The Boathouse was a lovely home from home, arranged for comfort and convenience, but with lots of interesting touches in the decor too. Brilliantly, the living area is on the upper floor and full of light and warmth, with comfortable furniture and a big floor-to-ceiling window. The kitchen, with a breakfast bar, and bathrooms were spacious, clean, well-organised and equipped with everything you need. We loved the location for exploring both up and down the coast and into Royal Deeside. There was useful contact with and information from the hosts, including very specific directions. Subsequently, Mercedes has been brilliant with helping us recover some left items.

A small housing development has started in field next to The Boathouse, so JCB digging at 8am was annoying. This will impact the views from the living room.

Quirky items around the property based on the sea. Seaweed, driftwood, oars, etc all used and it really works well.

Beds not great and pillows uncomfortable. Would be fine for young family or a couple but living/eating space would be cramped for any more that two adults and some little ones. Fine for us as we were just by ourselves.

Is a nice new house with all you need.

The fact the fridge wasn’t working in warm weather but hosts provided small fridges though not adequate. Had to throw out perishable food but was compensated for the cost so can’t ask for more as these things happen and hosts did their best to improve the situation.

The whole house was very nice, exceptionally clean with everything I needed. I entertained both family and friends and all thought property was excellent.
