United KingdomCould do with a car park sign on both access routes - e.g. we went past the hotel while looking for parking and it was only on coming back the other way (with the hotel on our right) that we saw the sign for hotel parking at the rear.
Great breakfast and staff were all very helpful. Very comfy beds and appreciated the call prior to check-in to confirm bed layout. The decor throughout is of a very high standard and has a lovely cosy feel.

United Kingdomradiator in room did not work so the room was cold when arrived. Tried to turn it up before going for dinner. Room still cold when returned. Had to have an electric heater which made the air in the room dry. Told reception on departure and the receptionist said "oh right" then gave me the bill.

United KingdomShower should of been better all jets didn't work. Window was broken the tensioners didn't work and could get broken. Had to use dog lead to lock into place for the evening while the extreme windy weather happened during the night.
Occssionally felt left out sitting in the conservatory at Breakfast.

United KingdomBar I ordered a Molito cocktail expecting it to be made at the bar but no it came out of a plastic bottle no mint and dried orange tasted foul must disappointing part of the stay would have sent more time in the bar
Staff where wonderful especial Cath in the dining room. The cooked breakfast on the first days was very poor value for money and the main meal on the second night which was delt with at the time and very professionally by Cath she also made up for the poor breakfast on the first day she made our holiday special thank you

Everything else was brilliant and we left hotel on our last day and returned before going home to have a cream tea which was prob best cream tea I have had .So relaxing. Room great clean,comfy bed especially as I hsve a bad back .Feel very relaxed there .Garden beautiful.to relax in too and lively relaxing sitting rooms. United KingdomOur evening meal didnt match the rest of the experience we had at the Hotel. It lacked visual appeal and would have benefited from having either more vegatbles added or an additional side dish of vegetables that could be ordered and so it felt expensive 'for what it was'.
The hotel was clean and spacious and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The location is great for walking and running straight from the door. Keswick is a 15 min drive away for a bit of shopping.
