- Noise levels really are quite loud, with the single paned glass windows. They give you ear plugs and while I'm used to wearing earplugs every night, I know that not everyone likes that, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel to everyone.

It was too noisy. Despite wearing ear plugs, I was awake most of the night due to the noise of people outside and then building works early in the morning.

The beds were not comfortable. The bed in first room we were allocated had a sizeable dip in the middle meaning that if two people were trying to share the bed they would be lying on an uncomfortable incline and falling into the middle. That mattress was not fit for purpose. We moved rooms and the second bed was flat but extremely hard and a bit lumpy!

bar service, little scruffy and not attentive. couldnt even put drinks to my suite? took a long time and they weren't busy. needs a little TLC breakfast wasnt very good. room lovely, as always.

Our room was lovely and we were very happy to have been given an upgrade but with floor to ceiling windows on two sides the blackout blinds were not sufficient in blocking out the daylight, which was a shame

ordered room service at 5pm for dinner and the kitchen was already closed! we checked in for a relaxing evening and paid for the Sir David Tang suite to end up ordering Deliveroo. This really took the luxury factor away for us and I wouldn’t return here due to this. When I pay £350+ for 1 night stay, I like to have round the clock room service or Atleast able to order dinner after 4:30pm.

I booked my room on a discounted Black Friday deal as it became a similar price to other rooms near by. I thought I was in for a real treat, but the room I stayed in was very simple. There was some broken tiling in the shower, some of the furniture was a bit tired and the lamps by the bed constantly flickered. Those small details meant it wasn’t quite the polished experience I expected - but it was spacious and comfy and I still enjoyed it

Amazing location and really spacious roomy room - the hotel is right in the heart of Shoreditch and strolling around, the restaurants and shops etc on the redchurch st is so lovely and just a perfect transportive slice of East London. I also loved how there is no constant presence from housekeeping - and I popped out for an hour, didn’t put a sign on my door or ask for my room to be turned over and they just paid attention to the fact I had popped out and when I came back it was neat and turned down. A really nice touch, I hate it when you just get knocks on the door all day and the housekeeping team is the main presence in a hotel. I totally get why - I just think it’s impressive and very noticeable when it feels effortless

Nothing could be improved

The location is spot-on for experiencing Shoreditch. The property is beautifully decorated with elegant style and incredibly comfortable beds and well appointed rooms. The bathroom was very well equipped and the bedroom was the largest bedroom I have ever experienced in London. Breakfast - wow! Make sure you go to breakfast with an empty stomach, fabulous high quality and great coffee, with super helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. This is a fabulous hotel with excellent comfort.
