We stayed overnight in the annexe suite, with a large living room, bathroom/toilet and private yard. It was quiet and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was pleasant, as was breakfast. There was a field where our dog could exercise.

The room I stayed in could do with some heavier curtains - the external lights shone into the window which might make it harder for a light sleeper to sleep

The property was clean and comfortable. The food was top notch. The staff were friendly to a point it was actually a little excessive maybe.

Improvements could be a small fridge in the rooms and a reception area for those staying the night at the Inn. Our own personal taste would have been pictures representing country or historical themes rather than animals dressed up as humans.

The food was fresh and delicious. The Staff were very friendly, welcoming, helpful and interested in us as individuals. Cleanliness was excellent. Tea and coffee were generous. The beds were extremely comfortable as were the pillows. It was easy to regulate the temperature in the room, turning radiators on or off and opening windows. It was a pleasure to see that the carpets in public and private areas were clean and not worn. Location was superb.

I've liked this pub for a good while visiting it before it's revamp a few years back and have been coming for years but never stayed, first time staying and the breakfast was lovely and the staff really friendly. The room was big and very nicely presented and very clean

Nothing to dislike.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. I was traveling with my son and all though we arrived very late in the evening after the kitchen staff had finished, they had prepared a cold platter for us to enjoy on arrival which was very enjoyable. At the same time we left early morning and they gave us a take away breakfast to enjoy on our journey. We will definitely be back.

I could not suggest anything we were more than satisfied.

Everything was so nice and we will certainly use this stop anytime we are in the area. If I was pushed to find one thing it would be that at my age I prefer a shower and the over bath showers worry me getting in and out of the bath not being as balanced as I used to be.

The room was on the end of an old building in the middle of winter and a cold snap. While not cold it could benefit from a larger heater.

Lovely pub in a nice quiet location. Room was lovely and very quiet without disturbance form other guests. Restaurant was great and the breakfast was superb. I would happily use again if required.

The team were brilliant and very attentive, warm and welcoming. The room was ideal and comfortable and the food superb. I had a "proper" pie - minted lamb which was full of chunky meat and tasted superb. My wife had the suet pudding and said it was delicious. There was a good choice of beers and sufficient wines. We will be back

The wait for breakfast.

Breakfast was lovely although we did have a long wait for it! As for the location we thought we had gone wrong somewhere as some of the roads were like tracks. We were not disappointed though as the location was fantastic
